    Questions for HH players

Volume on 10, Neck on 10, bridge on 7…I dial in all my presets like that, then it gives me room to get brighter on the bridge if I need it or want it

Question on Friedman and other clean amps

Suggestion: I really like the Div13FT37 low/ clean channel paired with the 2x12 cabs associated with it. Look in YEK’s amp guide for suggestions on dialing it in …. Excellent amp , very Fender like but sounds better in the clean section to me. Worth a try & I pair it with Friedman, Marshall &...

Question on Friedman and other clean amps

One thing I would consider is the IR’s you are using. Easy rabbit trail to go down, but I have a few amps I love , but IR choice can have them sounding super dark or bright with same amp settings. The other might be 2x12 vs 4x12, etc …. If the IR’s are consistent, it might make it easier to...

    Best Tele for the $$$

I have seen a few people say the Baja Tele & I couldn’t agree more. For the $ , you can’t beat it. I bought mine used for $650, but I think new they are only $900. It is a MIM, but also a custom shop designed model. I don’t see any shortcuts on quality or playability & it is an Awesome looking...

Creamy lead ( Miller, holdsworth, nilson)

I like the SLO lead channel for a smooth sustain type lead especially with humbuckers. Set Gain @ 3 or so & master @ 7... play with the treb/mid/ bass depending on type of GUITAR & taste.

My Bends Sound Like A Car Crash

Good points about string gauge & set up by Rev. Adding to that, make sure the guitar is set up comfortably with a moderate string gauge. 9-10’s seem to be best for me depending on my guitar. As for practice & technique, slow & repetition is the key like you are doing. Try sliding into your...

FM3 Low/High cut vs Preamp section Filters Low/High

    Very good info, thanks again!

Closed Save and load individual Amp blocks Into individual slots A-D

In the editor you will need to right click on the channel area over on the left side. You will get a drop down for various channel copy/paste operations. That's how it works for Axe-Edit so I'm assuming FM3-Edit is the same. Awesome! Thanks

FM3 Low/High cut vs Preamp section Filters Low/High

Thanks Justin! So basically you prefer to EQ each IR vs an overall approach in the preamp section? Just clarifying. I see everyone has a different approach based on preloaded Fractal presets to the ones on Axe exchange.

FM3 Low/High cut vs Preamp section Filters Low/High

Thanks! Just to be clear , you are referring to the preamp EQ in the cab block correct? Once I’m sitting in front of FM3 edit, I’m sure it will make more sense visually.

FM3 Low/High cut vs Preamp section Filters Low/High

Thanks! So basically the preamp section trumps the the cab blocks low/high since it is after in the signal path ? Or do they interact with one another, & both sections cuts affect the cab output in series? In general, how would you set your cab block in the FM3 format - only from the preamp...

I assume you mean FM3 edit. From where exactly are you copying to clipboard? Thanks for the help.

Closed Save and load individual Amp blocks Into individual slots A-D

I tried this but it didn’t work. It still overwrote all 4 channels. I could be copying from the wrong spot... can you clarify what you mean by copy to clipboard? How exactly? Sorry if it’s a simple thing I’m overlooking. thanks!

Closed Save and load individual Amp blocks Into individual slots A-D

Yes, That’s a better way of putting it. Thanks! Sometimes I want to mix & match amps I’ve saved in different presets, but in order to do that I have to pick a preset with a channel or 2 I like then recreate the other channels from a different preset to complete the new one.

Closed Save and load individual Amp blocks Into individual slots A-D

Save and load individual Amp blocks instead of A-D. Essentially you could have a single Plexi amp saved as a block & load into slot A & then load a saved fender amp into slot B, etc. I think this would give more flexibility in building presets instead of it saving A-D of a saved amp block.

FM3 Low/High cut vs Preamp section Filters Low/High

In my stock settings for the preloaded Amp patches, they are all defaulted at 20 on the low cut & 20000 on the high cut, but the preamp section shows cuts in the filter section.... sometimes 20 on the low & 10k on the high or 85 low / 11k high, etc. I guess my question is how do these 2 sections...

Artist Presets Packs: If I Could Just Have One

I do not see them on the list, but Coheed & Cambria have used Axe FX for years. I know they use real amps in the studio, but Fractal on stage. I'd love to see them do a preset pack!
