But that still does not change my opinion that if a modern unit has digital I/o it needs no be able to switch sample rate. Coz some guys do use it that way.     Well I come from the land of huge racks and Bradshaw rigs. Instant access switches is a must. I need minimum 5 presets and 10 IA switches. If you only do scene switching or presets the new ones is probably ok.

    I dunno if it’s a god idea to reply but anyways here we go..If you thing sample rate is only about frequency responce your sadly misstaken. An amp mic’d up will sound better at 96k that 48k and it’s easy to hear. Even if the speaker isn’t putting out much info over say 7.5k.

    I know the feel of standing in a room with a loud amp. Can be pretty overwhelming. But I doubt it would work thru the PA and on recordings. The sound you hear playing an amp loud in a room has nothing to do with well recorded guitar sounds.

    I’ve had 3 MD421 in my arsenal for about 22 years now and I used to use them for Kick and toms. I did try it on guitar cabs many times but never bonded with it. But I will give it some more time. I was able to make it sound cool together with my SM-57.

    I made them without the Axe but I mixed them with Cab Lab 3 and that software puts out IR and SysEx only. I’ve got Wav of singel mic’s. But I guess you like the finish mixes. I’m using my UAD converters and Apple’s Impulse Response Utility to make the Wav files. I’ll se if I can find a work around.
