Bogner XTC 2X12L Closed and Open Back.

Hii, Im late to the party. Here is my first attempt making IR. This is my Bogner XTC 2X12L loaded with one V30 and one Creamback 65. The cab is closed back, but I also have the openback wall for it. I will make openback IR’s later. Gear used was Axe_Fx 2 mk2. one SM-57 and one Cascade Fat Head 2 with Lundahl Trafo. Micpreamps was the ones in my API The Box Console. Sweep was sent to the cab using a HH VX-450 power-amp. Captured with Cab-Lab 3 Mic+DI. I captured 4 IR`s total and mixed them. Tell me what you think. (I`ve posted new files, see post made 30.oct.)

Try it with the Bogner Blue. Just like on my XTC I have to dail the bass back to around 2200 o’clock, mids at 2300 and treble at 1400.

you mean to set the bass around 10,mids 11 and treble at 1?

ahh ok got it!!last night i tried your irs i liked the BNG XTC 2x12 V-30CRB-65-mix and the cream 65,the v30 sound with too much treble and almost no bass,but maybe i need to try your amp settings.

The XTC is a really dark amp.

on the axefx the bogner amp mids only go till 10

i just tried it this morning before i went to work,and yes the preset and cab sound pretty good,i just tweak the preset a little bit,,thank you for the presets and cabs.

So this is my final version of my Bogner XTC cab with closed back-wall. There are one for each speaker with two mices. SM57 and my Fat Head 2 Ribbon. The last one is a mix of both speakers and is my personal favorite. Next up is to make IR`s with open back wall.
