Things have gone dark over here.......I hadn't realized how deep I'd be in when I bought the XL.... Just reading the manual(s) and Mr. Yek's guides, playing with presets, learning my way around this beast. Impressed. Amazed. This is one piece of gear that far exceeds my expectations...

I updated to 7.02 with Fractal-Bot first day I got the unit no problem. F-B is super easy, if you're not using it....

Help a newbie out!

I just got a B-stock 2XL+...I run mine right into my digital mixer/interface (N8). Monitor with headphones or studio monitors. Kills in both. Too busy auditioning/tracking guitar tracks to try it on bass yet, but I'm sure it'll sound great. 'favourite'? Are you U.S., U.K. or...

OK Got 11R sold today! Gave the old J-station to a dojo friend, so I'm all in with Fractal now. I guess I'll use the Martin as my backup....(Go Axe or go acoustic...) and back down the rabbit hole....

Anyone Using the XL+ with FCB1010/Eureka Prom III?.....

Who's using this setup? & How well does this actually work? The tide is out for a while here, so no MFC for a minute, but I have an FCB 1010 hanging out....since I sold my 11R. I would rather spend my time learning the AXE than programming a foot controller....

What DAW should I get?

Cubase 6 with Reason 7 in Rewire mode. Just used to it now. I love reason for soft synths, samplers, drum machines, but not so much for audio editing. I went back & forth between Cubase and Pro Tools for a while. But for some odd reason, I began to find Avid (ProTools) irksome, so now...

Thx. guys...confirms my thinking... Backup rig at best. Not using ProTools, so I hadn't thought about it as a backup 'face, but it'd do in a pinch. There is a standalone editor for it now, so I don't need PT for that, either. I saw one for $100 on Reverb last night, tho most in the 2-250...

Anybody running this as a VST plugin with Cubase or PT? Is it Rewire compatible? Inquiring minds, etc......might just have to download that demo version.....

More thoughts on my experience with Kemper and Axefx II

I get that. Originally I'd thought I'd go Kemper and profile my SF Dual Showman and modded Bassman and sell them off. Now, it's keep the Bassman and sell off the DSR, which is in a Twin Reverb cab & heavy for me now that I'm old. Think I can come close enough with Tonematch and spare my back...

More thoughts on my experience with Kemper and Axefx II

Interesting read since I nearly bought the Kemper...till I saw thew B-stock sale on the XL+...for just a couple hundred more. I think I'd have always wondered what (how much processing power) I was giving up with the Kemper...So, I'll buy that one next.
