AFIII Axe-Fx III sounds great via monitors and speakers- recording with any software via USB it has crackling / oversaturated sound quality

Mine is the exact same ... over saturated and almost fizzy sounding. Sounds great out of the monitors and really good through the headphones but USB recording doesn't sound great on playback. Frustrating. My Kemper is the same into Logic I'm gonna try using the headphone out with a TRS cable...

Sweetened tuning? is that a preset with the Peterson tuner? Is their app version any good?? or typically use their hardware version? I have a Wolfgang, a Suhr Strat and a few Les Pauls. I mainly use the Suhr and my R40 Les Paul ... they seem to have better intonation stability. Maybe I should...

Thanks ... I tried tuning open notes, fretted notes, harmonics etc. I tried James Taylor tuning and that seems a tad bit more stable in a recording I'll try your method of the attack and middle of the tail and see if that helps.

Im gonna say with other instruments ... although intonation may play a part for the solo sections.... anyone ever tune to the 12th fret for soloing? Just trying to make it sound the best it can.

Sorry it took so long getting back ... I've been ultra busy. I kept putting off sending it in and in October I was showing a buddy how the lights were flickering ... When I tried it, it magically turned on as per normal??? Not sure why it would miraculously spring back to life; strange...

Axe-Fx drops connection with Logic Pro X

Mine is running because I put my patch where my foot pedal can't access and that's probably the simple answer to the problem...that's a lot of information being spread to 2 different programs. edit: Nope... mine still goes crazy after a few minutes when using USB.

Just tried mine via USB to my Logic Pro X and it does the same.... haven't played around with it much to try to solve it but will over the next few days. If I find a solution, I'll post it here. If you find the same before I figure it out, let me know as well. Probably something simple .

Boss tap tempo

I tried hooking my Boss FS-5U for tap tempo, like in this video but the learning function just keeps going on and on (just keeps flashing 'Learning'). Even if I play around with the other functions and come back......it still says learning???? The midi light is lighting up so I know a signal...

Awesome....didn't realize you could eq the separate outputs! Like I said above....was hoping all FRFR speakers responded similar and just added their own colour, not the case it seems. I can't wait till I have a day off to start digging into this thing.....I find right now I just click through...

Thanks. It was just a general question....I know most guys won't use the factory presets for their setup but was wondering if anyone ran them through the board and if the built in presets sounded good. If that was the case then messing too much with the eq in the Axe-FX to fix the K12 might...

Cool thanks....I might pick up a coupla EV's since they're not that expensive. I could always use my K12's for building a small PA...... monitors or mains.

Fair enough. I appreciate the advice. Thanks. I was just hoping it sounded really good and similar with all FRFR speakers with limited adjustments (just the different boxes giving their different flavor to the sound.......but the vocal switch is a drastic change, for the better. It even changes...

Ok.....so let me ask this....how accurate or how good do the built in presets sound running through a board out to FOH? if anyone's tried it (I understand there are many types of setups and variables....but just looking for peoples general experience). Because if the built in presets sound good...

Cool....thanx for the responses. It sounds ok with the pair of them on the floor but just a bit muddy and not the highest fidelity...if that's the proper term.....flicking the vocal boost really made them come to life. I'll put them flat again and eq it within the unit. Does anyone know...

I'm new and I searched but came up with limited information........my XL+ sounded really dark and a bit muddy when using everything flat on the back of the speaker. I flipped the vocal boost switch and the speaker came to life. It sounded killer; no more muddy darkness. It sounded like what...
