New Cab Pack! FAR FIELD Session 1

This pack is what I was looking for. It sounds great mixed in with close irs. I typically have my fav close ir in cab 1, and cab 2 is usually setup with two far field irs panned either side to emulate a stereo ambient room. For the studio environment, I get excellent results with this setup...

I have noticed that my axe fx 2 XL+ recently has been outputting a mismatched L/R sound on the XLR's only. The unbalanced outs are outputting correctly (i.e. both L and R outs are at the same level). See screen shot displaying the XLR only. The only thing I can think of is that maybe something...

Thanks Bakerman. My problem is that the axe fx is not detecting a note entry and thus not changing any key at all. I don't mind if axe edit does not update or show visually what is happening with the changing functions.

A great tip I always use, if some of you use both A & B amps, then you can always temporally create a new amp block and copy the settings into that and do the A/B test that way. Providing you have enough memory, but there are always work arounds.

Yeah I love motor drive also, however, I have found that I prefer motor drive at higher settings when playing at lower volumes and when I perform at gigs, I prefer motor drive to a more conservative settings.

As others have already pointed out, the updates are free and I can't think of any other product out there in any shape or form that has so many updates as the AXE FX has. You could be just stuck with a piece of equipment from another manufacturer that only includes bug fixes and nothing else...

The more the merrier! so I appreciate any feedback. I am not surprised at these comments. The slope makes a big difference to how frequencies around the cutoff are treated so an actual figure of 200hz may seem unusual to some, but with a gentle slope of 6db/oct used it may not be as drastic one...

Thanks for all the replies guys. As standard practice, I regularly cut between 5.5khh to 6khz and low cut around 90hz. These guidelines are just for playing live at volume and not to be confused with me just jamming on headphones or bedroom volume through hifi/studio speakers as some users do...

Optical compressor in actual use

The Axe has so many tonal options from subtle to extreme, so looking for a bit of extra flavour from a "vintage sounding compressor" seems like a lot of effort for minimal gain. I can understand the different nuances for vocals and drums in a studio environment but as others have pointed out...

What's your favorite Q4.00 clean model

Can't be that everyone is using a power amp and gtr cab in this thread because no one has mentioned what cab blocks/ir's they are using. If the question was about clean amp with no breakup then ok, but what about the net effect of the cab block selection on the "cleanliness" of the sound.
