Hey Battle, Sorry you are having trouble with this. The setup does work and has worked for several people I know. Don't give up on this. The FX8 works terrifically with the Kemper. Like Chris said, try that and see.

Humbucker to single coil and vice versa EQ

And it definitely depends on what pickups you parallel. Some can sound way too bright and twangy instead of single coilish.

mr_fender, which setup do you like better? If I use a strat, I like the true single coil sound setup. If it is anything else that is a humbucker, I like the parallel setup.

I ended up with Humbuckers that are setup for parallel instead of splitting and they work great. Ran into a lot of noise when splitting them for some reason. It eliminated the need for EQ at that point but a pain in the neck to rewire if you are not used to the work.

Mainly because I love the sound of the BlueSky in the mix, I had it first before the FX8 and still love what it offers, they complement each other very well.

Only pedals I have kept so far is my Bad Horsie2, Whammy 5, Strymon Ola, Strymon Bluesky and my Freqout. The rest I happily sold and never looked back once I got the FX8.

Wish Rename the blocks/scenes

I was just hoping for the ability to change of the names on the pedals, not scenes. Something like "TS9" or "SHIM". Sometimes I run doubles and it can get hairy... :) It would be neat in the editor if when you select say "Effect one/ Effect two" you would see another menu pop out for tagging the...

Hi gang, I have been really digging into this song as of late and was curious if the echoplex sound can be recreated in the FX8. Forgive me, I have no real grounds in delays/echo so I am not sure how to go about it. Can anyone give me a start point that I can work with? Thanks! Digby

I run the FX8 5CM (returning with stereo in the loop) with my Kemper and it is now glorious! The onboard converters really add magic to the sound of everything the FX8 touches.

Octave effect placement...

I am a big fan of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow days when he used the octave on many songs. The only way I got close to the studio sound was to put the octave in the chain rather than upfront.
