Best way to alternate rhythm and lead

I use scenes to do that..I usually add a drive and a delay block for solos in the same preset's scene 2.. and in some of my high gain patches i use 'Y' on amp block in scene 2. It is the smoother version(less scooped) of the same amp in the rhythm scene.. You can use delay block level or...

Thanks for the answers, the recordings are based on the same knob settings of G2 vs G3 but i spent a whole day to come closer to my old tone but i couldn't. Somehow it is not tight, i can't scoop the tone no matter what. I am so sorry that i wouldn't use the new amps and cabs but I have to turn...

This is the final situation with SAT switch Off.. The cabs and the amp block settings are the same with G2 but you hear it sounds way much different... Cliff thanks for your support but what do you think? Is there anything wrong with G3 models of that amp or should we accept the new USAIIC+...

Believe me or not but they both have the same 5 band eq settings on the amp block...is there any possibility of something transfered incorrect while creating G3 version of the model? Maybe Cliff would check and help us,

Hi Dimebucker, thanks for your answer, Yes the the first one is G2 and the second one is G3 version of the same preset in the recording. Unfortunately i couldn't make it sound the same as G2 one...All of the G3 USA IIC+ models sound a little weird especially on mid frequences.. I hope someone...

Emg weirdness?

Does it sound strangely distorted even with clean tones? Than it is the battery..If the problem continues after replacing the battery, i strongly recommend to check the volume and tone knobs.

I don't think it's placebo effect. Usually updates change bass/treble balance or response so that i need to change the settings.. Sometimes i don't trust my ears and record before update and then record with the new fw and compare by listening and really most of the time bass/treble balance...

I don't agree. I don't have a lot experience to go into deep editing but i always have to tweak the presets after updates.. Remember the first time of F18, everybody discussed the global tone change of the presets(a little darker). Sometimes some amp models' volumes changes dramatically, so...

Objektive sound comparison: Fw17.04 vs. FW18 (G3)

It sounds a little different but i can just say it's just fine-tuned Bass/Treble sides. If the response differs dramatically, i think it can't be explained by comparing recordings, you have to compare it while playing..

Is it possible to; -Connect axe via usb to computer and use it just for recording -Connect an audio interface(scarlett 2i2 maybe) via usb and use it just for playback at the same time?? I am not sure if it is possible to configure a DAW to 2 different external interfaces at the same time...

Changing Floydrose 1000 with Schaller Lockmeister

I would like to do that improvement to my schecter and i have read on the schaller's website that both bridges have the exact same dimensions. When i looked at the dimensions to be sure, some of them are different. Especially the 2 stud screw's distance is 74.3mm on Schaller and 74mm on...

I don't know if it is recommended or not but i prefer setting levels as the way he does on the video. -20db thing is not about the cab block. It may be required to lower the amp block level to that amounts if you add several blocks after the amp, most of the blocks increase the volume.. I...

Because maybe amp block cause clipping and if you lower the cab block volume, the axe's red light won't lit even the amp block overloads the cab.. Just use the amp's level control so you will be sure that any of the blocks don't cause overload.

I agree... I have learned too much from CHRIS's video about setting levels. If i have to lower the volume after adding the cab, i prefer turning back to amp block and lower the level to a noncliping amount. It's ok to see -20db on a high gain amp block i think. So don't think the output levels...

If you palm mute hard on a bassy amp you can clip the output without clipping the input. I think the clip produced by a certain frequency jump. It will be easier to guess the cause of the problem if we can see the playing moment while hearing the thump.
