Hah! Yeah, but now I have HF hash from the computer connection to the mixer. I'll have to get some isolators for either the computer audio or the USB connection (you can run the computer audio in through USB or analogue jacks).

Need some help - ringing in the ears after playing... not an FX fault, an ear fault!

I'm in the process of setting up monitoring using my low powered computer speakers. They are fairly good quality Boston Acoustics, and this approach guarantees there is no more than about 10W of audio. I'll see if there is any difference...

Interestingly, when I plugged into the new USB port the system installed a WDM driver. I do appear to be using the FAS ASIO driver but any more info you can help me with would be much appreciated...

And a good one... The port I was plugging into was defaulting to USB-1. Am in a USB2 port and things are better. Down to what sounds like 10-20ms now. A little more tweaking and it will be there.

Ohhh... interesting. I've tried it with Axe Edit open and closed and it is the same. Something to watch out for in the future though! Thanks to the other posters for the thoughts about directly monitoring, but that's not what I'm trying to do.

Appreciate the thoughts! The amazing thing is that the problem only occurs with the digital signal! The old analogue path is fine. Has to be frequency elements or wave interactions that my tube amps simply don't generate. I'm still experimenting but it's looking more positive than before...

I've just tried the FRFR route... bought a pair of EV ZLX12P speakers. They aren't perfect FRFR speakers, but a good start. Excellent in concept and good tone, but couldn't bond with it and ended up taking the EV's back. I'm now using a Dr Z Maz18 set as clean as it will go and it's OK but...

Gave up and took the ZLX's back. I think they are good speakers, but not suited to tiny rooms. I've temporarily hooked up my Dr Z Maz 18. It's not perfect but it's OK until I figure out what next. I'm thinking a pair of Fender hot-rod amps set to super-clean.........

Nope... I've tried every EQ setting. On the Axe-FX, on the ZLX's and I've put a couple of 1/3 octave graphics in the chain. I'm thinking the ZLX's just aren't the answer for my practice room.

Just bought a pair of ZLX12P. No issues with rattle, so I'm happy about that. Sound is unbelievable for the price. But I have a couple of questions for other ZLX users... - What do you set the bass to? I have it wound down to -10dB in my little practice room. More than that and it sounds...
