It's just a little weird though that a unit that has been discontinued gets updates and a unit that is still selling don't. I know that AX8 has it's limitations but it should be priority imho. It's not a "dead" unit, until they discontinue it.

Pitch block imporevements, imho, have nothing to do with processing power. It's just algorithm improvements, that's all, not something extra than the unit can't handle. But that's just my impression. Remember what everyone said about audio gap when changing presets and scenes and how much it has...

Wish Pitch tracking below bass G

Just a suggestion. If your bass has neck pickup then switch to it when tuning or lower your tone control level and try if it works better this way.

Wish AX8-Edit could suggest proper stock cabs when an individual amp was selected

Imho, even though i can understand and support your opinion, that's kinda wrong prespective IF someone wants a signature sound. There is no signature sound of an amp without its matching cab. And everyone who experiment with different IRs knows how important is the cab for the final sound, far...

AX8 Volume Levels

Is the 1st gen 2i2 or 2nd one? Because 1st gen 2i2s have issue with clipping even with gain knob all the way down. It is well known issue if you do a google search with the phrase "2i2 clipping".

Improving home studio sound

My opinion is that you will never find the big sound that you have with ax8 at rehearsals or live with nearfield monitors and headsets. The solution you excluded (frfr speaker) is the solution you need.

AX8 vs Amps & Plugins

Many sounds are great but i choose Mesa Dual Rectifier 3CH. For closer result with AX8 you could use AX8 Recto 2 Red, because Recto 1 sim is based on 2CH rectos. But that's just a tiny detail, doesn't matter. Great video overall, thanks!!
