Line 6 Helix Reviews Are Starting to Appear...

I really do like this Forum here - most of the fractal users are totally ignorant to everything else. I owned a AXE FX 2 myself but sold it - sounded tooo digtital. By that time I at least thought about buying the just announced FX8 and followed a discussion, that it would be out "soon". This...

    Potential release date?

Why should I be interested in accusing??? I have owned an axe fx myself so I know this Forum for a Long time. And I also know that some members here behave like having been brainwashed. With just 5 Minutes of searching in this forum I found this: "Latest AFXII advertisement in UK Guitarist...

    Potential release date?

That is exactly why I have bought a G-System now. I sold the AXE FX2 because I felt it beeing tooo digital. I will compare the FX8 with the G-System but from my experience - dont be tooo impatient - it will still take a Long Long time till the fx8 will be realesed. Yes I also Agree that Cliff...

Bug? JM45 and JM45 JUMP sound horrible for low E and a strings (not a bug)

Ok, thank you. So I have to be glad there is an axe fx around - my face is still in good shape.:pride: I just watched the video linked in the wiki and even if it seams the guy is playing very loud there are no resonance frequencies notable- but it is a stratocaster. Thanks and regards

Bug? JM45 and JM45 JUMP sound horrible for low E and a strings (not a bug)

When I play any note on the low e or the a string the sound is "digital" like from a synthesizer. It is very distorted and has a resonance at the a on the 5th fret of the low E string. I do not think that the original is sounding like that. I am using a les paul 59 cc Regards

Bug? Urgent Help needed - FW 10.02 smashed my Axe fx 2

No response, but as I was desperate I still played around and pressed enter and then switched on. The first time it seemed I had deleted all presets so I did this again for 2 more times - as I said I was desperate. And guess what -- suddenly it works again. Must have been something strange...

Bug? Urgent Help needed - FW 10.02 smashed my Axe fx 2

I have just upgraded from FW 10.0 to the FW 10.02 via the bot and waited more than 5 seconds. When I switched on the axe I still saw the Information "Update successfull...." but with some black pixels on the screen. Now, as I have switched on and off several times the screen looks like this...

FW10 Release notes already in Amp Model WIKI

Did you realize that in the WIKI some amp models now have comments regarding to FW10 Release? Fox ODS I / II (Fuchs Overdrive Supreme) "Firmware 10 release notes: "Added “FOX ODS II” model. This model is the same as the FOX ODS I model but with the “MID” switch off" " Seems that soon is...

    Release it already!

dear mr chase, I believe this is a lot of work and I appreciate. But for me the main issue is not V10 - this will take its time. For me the Axe Edit is more important. Only by accident I found a post ( after still using AE for weeks) that said "do not use AE with V9". No comment on what would...

V6 firmware: Time to Release the Monster - Speaker Resonance Page

Wow, this post really helps. Didnt know that the university professors have been telling us only speculations. Thanks, now I know.

V6 firmware: Time to Release the Monster - Speaker Resonance Page

Im sorry, but I think you didnt get the point. This is exactly what I wrote: the speaker impedance curve ist an interaction between the speaker and the cab. If you model it within the amp model and the speaker is missing - this is no longer the right impedance curve ( in reality this is exactly...

V6 firmware: Time to Release the Monster - Speaker Resonance Page

Hi. very good point - if there is no cab there is no impedance curve like in the amp block. It is the result of an interaction, where suddenly the main partner is ....... missing. Exactly this case shows that the impedance curve on the amp side is ..... to be discussed. With a missing cab the...

V6 firmware: Time to Release the Monster - Speaker Resonance Page

Correct. But also does the same amp not react the same way to different speakers. I think the impedance curve is more a speaker curve than a amp curve. Take a tone generator with 200 Ohms in series to an existing cabinet and measure the Voltage over the frequeny (i.e. the impedance) of the...

V6 firmware: Time to Release the Monster - Speaker Resonance Page

So my understanding was correct. Dont you think it would better to model this on the cabinet page instead of tweaking the parameters to to selected cab in the output stage? The impedance of the the transformer is fairly "linear" - it gets non linear when the speaker comes into the game. And as...

V6 firmware: Time to Release the Monster - Speaker Resonance Page

Dear Scott, very interesting Post. I am still wondering, why the "Speaker" param is within the amp parameters. As far as I understand this is the inter-action of the speaker impedance to the output transformer of the amp. This means that the output transformer would not have this frequency...
