Watching....I just started using it as a master as well, and I ended up turning down the main volume knob on my unit (1) on my FM9. It turned down the entire thing in my headphone jack, which is what I wanted.

I upgraded a few hours ago, and noticed the automatic download was 25.1 - much to my surprise. Thanks for finding and fixing these few issues! I also re-leveled my 16 presets I use for my band, using a decibel meter (kept it to about 87-88 db) for simulated gig Volume. Everything checks out...

Fractal Noise Reducer vs noiseless single-coils

I use the noise gate as a compromise - I play humbuckers most of the time, but for some cover songs, like U2, I coil split and the the partch used for tone has more noise gate on it. Sounds great to me, but I am not soloing much and don't have to keep long, sustained notes tailing off.

From 7 years ago, but real amps and cabs - and a full time amp technician to keep ‘em working! Glad I have my Fractal Audio gear, so I don’t have this crazy setup, but you have to give them credit (and they have the budget and tech personnel) to use all of this real gear.

How do you back up your music PC?

Veeam Windows agent is free, just no tech support, but I’m a network engineer and work with it all the time at various clients of my firm. Great for backing up to network attached or USB storage. Easy to use, and I have it set for incremental backups after the first full backup.

Anti-Fatigue Mat

Playing on cement is killer on the legs without a mat of some sort. I grew up in the family meat shop, and when deboning or trimming meat for long periods of time while standing on the cement floor, my dad always made sure we were standing on the rubber mats to “save our backs” and legs.

Anyone ever install a Kahler 5513 Pro locking device on a Les Paul?

I have 2 Alex Lifeson Epiphone Les Pauls with the Floyd Rose (one from each series) , and one 1981 Les Paul with a Kahler. All 3 stay in tune really well.

Fancy power cables…

Unless your original power cables were not thick enough between the wall outlet and the standard tube amplifier and starved it of power through the thinner wire, it won't be noticeable. For the modeler? It won't make a difference. That said, it is nice to have good quality cables and...
