Hey guys, Something I stumbled upon today... I always plug into the front of the Axe FX...I was going through my settings, and I found that my input source was set to REAR input rather than front....I switch it back, and found that my tone got significantly darker and looser.. Oddly...

Krk monitors?

This will probably be helpful here...all sound on the video is the built in mic on my mac taking the in room sound from my KRK Rokit 5's...overloaded the mic a few times, and youtube messed up the sync, but you'll get the general idea of the sound! Skip ahead a bit if you don't care about all...

QSC RMX 850 RMX or ART SLA2

Here is my experience... The FIRST time I owned an Axe FX, I ran it through a QSC RMX2450...it's a BIG SS poweramp...I ran it into Mills acoustics 4x12s...I was seriously underwhelmed by the results, and could not get it to hold up in a load metal band, even though the amp was putting out so...

Krk monitors?

I run my standard through RKR Rokit 5's when I practice, and I LOVE it! They sound GREAT, and I didn't have to buy anything extra since I was using them for studio monitoring anyway ;) I used my Roland Cube 60 for the longest time at home...don't need to anymore! Eric

Sustain anyone? achieving?

The sustain is DEFINITELY there...it really depends how you dial it though. I dialed a rhythm patch with a SHARP and tight attack, and when I tried to use it for leads, the sustain would choke off quick. When I dial in a lead sound, though, I have no trouble with sustain. Eric

Really appreciate you checking it out. I can definitely share the patch next time I have the Axe hooked up with the comp. The patch was pretty simple...Das Metal sim, a small bit of GEQ to bump up the highs, and german and recto 4x12s...SM57s for mics if I remember correctly. Eric

Axe-FX Signal Routing / Stereo Rig

Hey guys! Some questions on how one could use an Axe-FX as a processor in a stereo rig... The Axe has 2 inputs...I'm thinking about sending the effects send of my two amps, each into an input of the Axe-FX. From there, I'm hoping to be able to route any combination of the preamp inputs...
