Quick question regarding new firmware(s)

hello all, I know we've had quite a wave with 3.0x, it took me some getting used to but it was so worth it. My only question is: I was always a little confused about making sure my amps are the V3 variants, and not somehow still V2. I just flashed 3.03 from 3.02. Is there a quick and dirty way...

Does anyone else have latency issues when using axe fx as interface?

Do you know *how* to do it? I mean, I know I would just grab a MIDI cable and plug it in, but do I use IN/OUT/Thru or what? I've never really used MIDI before so I'm kind of a noob with it. Can this be done? I didn't find anything about it on the wiki or in the manual.

I also may have noticed some latency when using my axiom 61. I have my axe in my laptop via usb as my interface, and the keyboard into my laptop also via usb. I can't tell, but a friend plays the keyboard and he says its slight but there. I wondered if it was possible to try using midi with the...

I definitely think learning your way around is invaluable (like if you need to adjust an amp's gain live before a song or something), but I agree that I find axe-edit very useful. Especially for immediately selecting a specific preset rather than scrolling through the wheel. Hope I can afford an...

Just got mine, day before my birthday lol. Thu 9/08/11 1:07 PM, ordered yesterday (9/10/11 12:11PM #965), but Sunday's breaking my balls. Probably won't ship till tomorrow. I'm still in the denial stage I think, won't accept reality until it arrives on my doorstep :)

Well... sold the ol' faithful Ultra today for $1600. Definitely seen them go for more, but I was pleased. Breaks my heart to see it go but I think I can sell some other useless junk to get close to the required $2200 for a II. Anyway, while we wait lol, I was just curious what you guys think...

noob FR questions, would love some input :)

So... If you have an FR speaker that you're playing the Axe through, do you need power/cab simulation bypassed? Or do you leave it enabled because the range of the speaker is so large that you get to play with the power/cab sim on and it doesn't physically throttle the highs and lows out AGAIN...
