Visual difference: Atomic powered vs passive amp

I am searching the web, but I can`t seem to find a visual difference. So if anyone is buying let`s say a used powered one how does he know he`s not buying a (cheaper) passive one?

Updating to firmware 11.00 using Windows

Thank you all, I have done it. First you have to configure the Axe Edit and then the Axe-Fx. The other way around doesn`t work.

Updating to firmware 11.00 using Windows

I didn`t find any other threat that will describe this so I am opening new one. I use Windows 7, Axe-Fx Standard 10.04 and Axe Edit. I am trying to update to firware 11.00 but I really do not understand how to import the firmware11.syx file into Axe Edit. Can anyone help?

Axe FX Recording/Bedroom Setup - Need advice

I have KRK VXT 4 but am yet learning my ways with Axe-Fx. The Axe-Fx factory presets were made on Event 20/20 speakers, if this helps you.

Yes, KRK VXT 4 I have are powered monitors. I yet haven`t plugged the monitors directly into the Axe-Fx. I still wonder if some (not so shaped) presets from Axe-Fx (which I bought second-hand) could damage the speakers with it`s (too) high or (too) low frequencies. When I run the whole system...

I recently got my Axe-Fx Standard but the best I could do was to create a GuitarRig 4 type of sound. I am running the Axe into my PC and through soundcard out to KRK studio speakers. I use Axe Edit and choose the amp first and then I go through the cabs. But almost every combination sounds...

Yes, triaxis in only a preamp and does not have a speaker simulator. The guy I talked about uses speaker simulator from Revalver on his PC. I will try the tips you have written. Thanks!

I put two similar pads (I found in the basement) under the monitors and the difference is quite impressing. My speakers really shoudn`t be sitting on the desk. Funny that the guy with the triaxis has them directly on the table but without bass overdose. Thanks for the help, man!
