I'd get an LXII from a place with a good return policy, try the LXII and PS2 side by side and go from there. That would give you the most information. You could keep both, keep the LXII and sell the PS2, or return the LXII and exchange it for another PS2.

Are you using a Fractal device? Have you tried using crossover block and two separate outputs? Seems like that should work. Edit: I did see you said no dual path but could you not use the pedals before the Fractal or possibly using an out/in 3 path?

I'm still curious to hear a review comparing these to the FR-XXs. The FR-10 is half the price of the Elis.8 and I'm skeptical that the difference in price is reflected in actual performance/sound. I'm definitely open to the idea though.

For a tube amp: any EVH 50w variant. They play exceptionally well with Fractal IME. For an FRFR solution, I settled on the Fender FR-12.

People kinda talk down on the FRs because they're not coaxial but I'm not sure thier dispersion is suffering much because they have a separate tweeter. Maybe some guys who play with them live can chime in. @Cainer might have some thoughts?

A friend recently got an FR-12 and a QC. He wants to come over and test the QC against my FM9. Perhaps this weekend he will bring his QC and stock FR and we'll set the rigs up side by side for science. My production V2 should be here Friday. I won't tell him about it at first 😈

Just got an EV PXM-12MP - sounds harsh and mid-spikey

After a minor e-stalking session it seems you're in Ohio? There might be an FR-10/12 owner near you so you can try one. They're naturally less mid focused (read: they're scooped) than the EVs. Might be worth checking out if you can.

Can’t turn off a bypass [solved]

It looks like the "Volume" knob in the volume block is set to zero. Maybe remove the modifier from that control and increase the volume knob. Is that a factory preset? I'm guessing it expects an expression pedal connected to one of the expression jacks and that jack assigned to External 1. I'm...

Oops. Didn't answer the second question. Sometimes I add cuts but it's relatively rare for me to do so. I just got everything wired up that way a couple days ago so it's possible I'll make some cuts or other EQ adjustments as I switch around from one monitoring system to another.

I just play at home. I'm sending out 1 to my PXMs and through them to my interface/monitors. Out 2 (L, summed) goes to the Fender FR-12. Out 3 bypasses the cab block and goes to a pair of EVH 50w amps and thier associated cabs. I can pick and choose which monitoring system I want to use...

I wonder if it would be worth doing something to alleviate this as a potential issue. Maybe removing the knob functions from the performance pages? Or having a a setup-menu choice for that? "A-E knobs on Performance Pages: Enable/Disable"?

The "A" knob is just above the left footswitch. Pressing the A knob engages the tuner so a less-than-accurate foot could easily hit that by mistake.

I've run them WDW. Originally they were out of phase and they sounded pretty cool that way tbh. After @WKSmith told me about the phase issue with the FR-12 I flipped the phase on that output. Still a great and monstrous tone. They actually work just fine together. Both get plenty loud so no...

You might try those tone factor XR IRs. Specifically the 2x12 AC30 Greenback stuff. Dunno what it is but some of those really worked well for me in that regard.

The stock FR is 180° off I believe. @WKSmith mod fixes that. The EVs are in phase. As long as you have all your stuff in phase you're good.
