Maybe quit AxeEdit and your pdf reader.

Just to continue on my comments on the previous version: "phantom blocks".

There was a comment that the cause might be the 82% CPU load.
I redid the tests with both presets at below 75% CPU and still got "phantom blocks".

Just downloaded this version and will report back if I see it.

Confirm target button fix....nice.

Windows has a habit of having Acrobat reader running but not visible.

Check Task Manager. It used to happen to me a lot...

I'm guessing you use Adobe Acrobat for PDFs. Acrobat has grown flaky in recent years. Sometimes it doesn't show that it's running, but it's running. Other times, it won't open at all.

Go into Task Manager and kill every instance of Acrobat. Then click Try Again.

Yep, "the arrow selection" ↑ ↓ never worked for me.
