New Guy question. Renaming presets Axe-Fx III

For your reference, page 40 in the Axe-Fx III manual:

Section 5 - Presets > Saving Changes

"TO CHANGE THE PRESET NAME OR LOCATION…
The Axe‑Fx III has 512 preset memory locations. You can edit the name of any preset while storing.
Press STORE to show the STORE page.
NAV down once to the PRESET line.
Turn the B knob to move the cursor.
The C knob selects upper case letters.
The D knob selects lower case letters.
The E knob selects numbers.
The VALUE knob selects ALL characters, including symbols.

You can use up to 31 characters in a preset name.
You can also NAV to any Scene name to edit it in the same way.
Press ENTER to Store, then press ENTER again to confirm.
The message “SAVED!” is displayed and the new location (if any) is loaded."

When I do this at the top of the main page, the name of the preset does not change on the preset list.

Don

it was a request to not have the Preset Picker (the list you're referring to) update all preset slots every time you open it. therefore, now you have to click the "refresh button" (2 arrows in a circle near the to right of the Picker window) if you want that list refreshed.

OK, got that working well. thanks you all. Now, how can I save a scene from one preset and drop it into another?

thanks again.

Don
You can't...

A scene only represents the on/off and channel states of blocks, not the blocks themselves, so even if it was possible you'd already have to have a preset with an identical layout.
