Help please for a new user.

For power to the MFC you will still need to plug the power supply into the back of the Axe and an outlet. Then the 7 pin carries the phantom power to the MFC. As far as the 127 you have to scroll past to other presets with the dial. Hope this helps you out. Ed

Need Help with firmware update (please)

I updated my firmware to v11 with success, except for one preset, which I was on at time of update. Can't get it to load to save my life. Other than that v11 is great. Good luck with your update. If you have a preset you are fond of I would recommend not being on it when you update. Have had no...

Thanks sOc9 for the help. Having no luck so far, but will keep after it till I get it back up. All the other presets seem to be fine, just can't seem to get 127 to come back for Madmans Diary. I do appreciate the help and info. though. Technically challenged more than I thought I suppose. Ed

I now have the AxeEdit loaded, but there is nothing in any of the preset files. I downloaded all preset banks from the Fractal page, unzipped, but have no idea how to get them loaded back into the Ultra. Suggestions? Ed

I finally got the firmware v11 update loaded. A technical giant I am not. In the process I lost factory preset #127, Madmans Diary, that I really kind of liked to use. Screen on Ultra just says bypass. How do I get the preset back? As I said I'm a bit technically challenged, being an old guy and...

Any tube power amps people use with Power Amp Sims on?

I was using a Mesa 2:50 with an Earcandy cab and left the sims on. I felt it sounded much better with the sims on. Just my opinion. Ed

My opinion, for live I would go with the 12. Just my .02. Not looking for a forum battle. Might want to check out the new EV as well. Again just my .02. Ed

FWIW I tried one K10, sent it back and now run 2 K12's. I just didn't think the K10 had enough bottom to it. Just my humble opinion. Ed

So, tell me about the versatility of FRFR cabinets.

I tried the power amp cab route, as that is what I was used to. Went with FRFR and can't really see myself going back at this time. 2 QSC K12's for me. Already got rid of my cabs and looking to sell my power amp as well. Enjoy the journey and hope you find your tonal nirvana. Ed

Sorry to hear about the disappointment FrostByte. I am currently playing through 2 K12's and don't think I could be anymore satisfied. Ultra and K12's cured my amp gas for a while. Just my opinion. Your results may vary, obviously. Ed
