Axe-Fx II "Ares" Rev 2.00 Firmware Release

Just when I started to accept that update Q10.01 was the last firmware I’d ever do on my AxeII, Fractal yanks out the rug... Seriously guys, I spent all night updating the amps in all my presets, and retweeking a few things here and there, and even though I haven’t had time to try anything in...

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 10.01 Firmware Release

I'm glad I decided to recorded all my guitars, and bass dry. I know what I'm going to be doing all day tomorrow.

How many patches do you all use?

Overal, were original hard rock, but we like to fuse in a few things like funk, pop, techno or whatever, here and there for a bit of an experimental twist. I'm a patch per song kind of guy, I use scenes, and automation from a daw.

AFIII Axe-Fx III + GetGood Drums Modern & Massive: 1h Song Challenge (Preset)

Thank you, that answered a majority of my questions. If I have any issues when I finally get it (it might be a few months, still trying to get a few other things first) would it be cool to message you?

AFIII Axe-Fx III + GetGood Drums Modern & Massive: 1h Song Challenge (Preset)

How are you liking those drums? I'm really considering getting them. What kind of things can you tweak? We're a bit on the experimental side of hard rock, so our drums tend to be tweaked a little different per song.

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 9.04 Firmware Release

I'll upgrade, eventually. I'd like to see some bugs worked out, and the pedals released first, but it's in my future. I will say, for me, that it's mostly for the hardware, and not the tone. If the 3 sounded the exact same, it would still be worth it, for me, for the I/O upgrade. I do...

Wish Now should we be able to develop the "Hyper Space Pedal preset"?

You could say... It's more than a pedal....

    Amp in the room simulation

Impossible, that is until Cliff finds a way to actually capture an IR, with your ears as a mic... Cliff?

Amp in a Room vs Studio Recorded Tones

To the original question... I'm not sure there is a straight forward answer to that question. It really depends upon the goal at the time. I'm not really a bedroom player, so all of my tones are designed for playing with a song I wrote, so i guess it depend upon the song. I just give the...

No more real cabs for me

Haven't used a cab since I first got my Axe2, and I only used an FRFR on stage once. I get plenty of interaction from the front of house, in smaller clubs.

    No axe edit for Mac?

Real men just design their own modeler, and revolutionize the entire industry.

    Axe-Fx III - PDF Manual!

Currently, I send a dry, and a fuzz in parallel to my Axe2 on input 1, unfortunately, this makes the input gate useless, so I have to have extra stuff in my patches. I also use input 2 for my bassist live, which Is why I can't do it that way. I plan on separating my guitar into in1, and in2...

So unless I missed it in the manual...

I have two different polyphonic tuners on my phone, one being the TC. I've even tried the real TC. I always seem to come back to my Peterson iStroboSoft when tuning really matters. Any other time, I just use my Snark.

    How many simultaneous reamp channels?

I've been trying out all sorts of things to get a good bass tone for my bassist, and I've gotten real close, but just haven't hit the mark. I even tried something like you described here, but just could get it to do what I wanted, probably due to my limited bass tone knowledge. Could I trouble...

AFIII Canadians playing Separate Ways using the AxeFx III

Steeeeeeve PERRY! Damn, your vocalist is spot on, everything was great, including the tone, but he was definitely the show there
