    FAS Inspired Amp Purchase

Thatnks @Adman103 ! And yes, I did pick up that combo off the verb actually! Had some back and fourth with the shop owner and ended up getting a solid deal on it. Thanks for the suggestions. For some reason, I never even considered 4CM with this, I typically run Fryette Powerstations with my FAS...

    FAS Inspired Amp Purchase

After years of wanting, waiting, and playing the model in my AxeFx/FM3T... Tomorrow, UPS will be delivering a Carol-Ann Tucana 3 to my house. Don't even care if my wife will murder me in my sleep because of it lol. I'm hoping that the real deal is every bit as good as I imagine it will be...

    Super Bowl

The Bills got absolutely robbed again, and McDermott took the hit.. that's what is grinding my NFL gears. No one on this planet or any other, can convince me that Cooks did not "catch" that ball..

    Axe-FX III vs. Axe-FX II XL+

As someone who owns both, they both sound good, and I still play the II a lot.. The differences between the new and 2nd gen units were not very apparent, but its very obvious now that the current units are superior in just about every way. However, I'd still grab my II over any other competing...

New toy inbound and I’m stoked ! RME Fireface UCX II

I've been using an RME UFX for several years at this point. It is absolutely solid and the converters are best in class. Totalmix is also a huge asset, as mentioned, a bit of a learning curve, but once you wrap your head around it, you'll be questioning how you ever lived without it. Congrats on...

    Bluechip Picks

I have two blue chip picks but I exclusively use them on my acoustics. I play a lot of shreddy metal stuff on electric, and the blue chip just really doesn't cut it for that. I may check out the McQuan PEI for my electric playing.

Who is the funniest guy on this forum?

I've gotten my fair share of belly laughs from Cliff. I know other's here have made me LOL pretty good, but that aforementioned valley of stupidity graph was hilarious.

    Houston area music scene?

I live in a Pearland suburb and highly recommend it. My girlfriend lives in League City and its also a very nice area. We have thankfully never had issues with flooding, but as mentioned, it is a thing. Traffic is also brutal. Regarding the music scene, it definitely exists and while I'm not...

Did not like the Helix Stadium XL....

I've used the L6 stuff going back to the black HD bean before getting my first AxeFx and it was actually pretty damn good. Part of me actually misses having that unit around. For my needs at the time, it did everything I needed. I've obviously since moved on to Fractal Land, but I'm sure that...

I accidentally got the best sound I've ever gotten out of an old Axe Fx

This wasn’t planned, and it’s definitely not practical — it just sort of happened. I cobbled together a Frankenstein living-room setup: a pair of Kali studio monitors, a KRK sub, a decent DAC, and a phono stage. Nothing exotic. It started as a simple vinyl rig, but once I added an Audio...

    Windows 11

I use Windows 11 for work. For what I do at work it's acceptable, but Microsoft Authenticator can go burn in the deepest pit in hell.

    Ace Frehley has passed away.

I wish I could have jumped into Eddie stuff in particular, but 10-11 year old me who couldn't properly tune a guitar or change strings could only handle KISS stuff. It also helped that Destroyer was and still is an absolute banger of an album.

    Ace Frehley has passed away.

I'm not sure that I would be playing guitar today if it wasn't for Ace and KISS. I learned quite a few licks and solos off Destroyer by ear when I was first teaching myself how to play and that inspired me to keep going. RIP Ace.
