Hi,
Considering an FM9 vs. QC. I am convinced the sound quality and number of fx blocks are much better from the Fractal product. I play violin so the number/quality of amps and cabs is not so important to me.
However - for some gigs - the slightly bigger size comes into play. (Please kindly don't tell me a few inches don't matter)
QUESTION: Given that -- I run my audio input wirelessly into the FM9 ---
what are the options for wirelessly controlling the FM9? I think this would predominantly mean scene control /change, I would set up and test out my scenes and presets before a gig, and then move or place the FM9 under or by the sound table (or close to the PA system): while I would be walking around at the gig..... however..... still needing to change scenes.
But keep me honest, it seems devices like: https://luminitefx.com/ seemingly require A/C power, and then I would have to put it on the floor somewhere, and make my way over to it, to step on a footswitch and have it wirelessly send a MIDI message to do a scene change - correct???
Any other battery powered type device options that would wirelessly send (MIDI) messages to the FM9 to change scenes?
Has anyone tried powering something like the luminifex via batteries?
Can you even actually send Wireless MIDI Messages via an Android phone?
Thanks!!
AJ

- Unfortunately I have an Android phone (FYI)
- Although I do some scene changes in the middle of a song; I don't need split second scene change control - meaning if I had a portable scene changer on my phone I could hold the violin with one hand, and press some buttons on my phone, or uh on a device (of some sort) to change scenes
