🔥Introducing the new AM4 Amp Modeler

The AM4 really is freakishly cool. Fractal-quality amp models in a little box that I can throw in my gig bag. It’s been hard to keep this quiet during beta testing. I have a monthly solo gig that this will be perfect for.

The AM4 is really cool guys! If I have to travel and take an electric guitar along, I'll bring my AM4 with me no doubt.

In addition to some standard loved factory presets Fractal ported over from the big brother III/FM9/FM3 units, some other great beta team members and myself contributed a few "new" factory presets for the AM4, which was fun....you'll spot them in the preset list and end of manual...they sound great!

This looks absolutely incredible and will probably sell boatloads for guys like me who want the best tones money can buy but use very few effects.

@Admin M@ How many different mics do the DynaCabs have on this unit? Are they the same selection as on the III?

I'll ask! Which is a more powerful/flexible pedalboard; FM9 or AM4+VP4?
FM9 can run two amp blocks so if you’re like me and often run all your effects into the front of the amps (and want stereo), that might matter for you. Also I’d prefer the all in one setup of the FM9, one editor, one device to power and update, fewer connections, etc, so even if AM4+VP4 could run 2 amps I’d still go with the FM9. Also I think there’s a lot more flexibility with scenes, footswitching, routing, etc.

However for a simple cover gig or just tracking at home the AM4 seems like a home run.

So if we’re still releasing new 3rd gen units, Axe FX IV Is probably not releasing anytime soon?

Wow! This looks like a really cool product that is going to tick a lot of boxes for a ton of people. I just got an FM3 MKII Turbo a few weeks ago and honestly I'm glad this wasn't available when I placed my order because I would have had a hard time trying to decide between the two as the AMP 4 would probably work for 95% of what I want to do with a modeling unit. Overall I am glad I got the FM3 though because it has some flexibility with in's and outs that the AMP 4 doesn't.

When I was considering getting the Nano Cortex, this would have been top of my list had it been available. This is probably a great secondary unit or even a back up unit for those that are looking in that direction as well.

Wow! Congratulations. This is definitely going to become my fly rig – once I fly again. Lol!
I'm very impressed with what's done here. Congratulations FAS. This is a definite winner.
