Which was actually a song Billy Sheehan wrote, recorded and performed with his prior band, Talas.Holy Roller reminds much of Shy Boy by Dave Lee Roth and Steve Vai.
AWw don't tease us like that Matt.Great! I love working with these guys and their Axe-Fx IIIs. Super smart and chill.
Ok, having listened to it now, I totally agree!Holy Roller reminds much of Shy Boy by Dave Lee Roth and Steve Vai.
As we say in England, you're not yourself when you're hungry, so go have a Snickers and give it another listen and see what you think then.Listened to the whole thing this morning. Guess I'm just not a sophisticated enough listener.
I just didn't hear songs i cared about, and the high harmonic whammy thing seems like a cheap stunt from the 80s.
Apparently I'm in a mood.
I was at that show, it was amazing!Great album. A favorite band of mine for many years. I’ve been fortunate to see them live several times. One of my fave performances was seeing Ian play live at the Suhr Party at NAMM 2016.
I’d love to see more Big Wreck/Thornley Fractal related content.
Just now getting a chance to listen to The Rest of the Story and this is some big hair, big iron type stuff. Love it! Holy Roller is a HUGE 80s metal throwback. That pinch harmonic with the whammy bar stuff is bananas.
Second this, any insight? Ian’s amps have always been Suhr PT100 and Hedgehog live… are they going for the same tones or something completely different? Throw us a bone?Great! I love working with these guys and their Axe-Fx IIIs. Super smart and chill.
