New Big Wreck album release

I know there's a fair few Big Wreck and Ian Thornley fans here, I've listened a few times and it's heavier and progier than the last few release, and some killer solos

Holy Roller reminds much of Shy Boy by Dave Lee Roth and Steve Vai.

But it's def. Big Wreck and a nice album, one of the better ones of the last years. Juicy solos and guitar tones!

And I hear more "single-worthy" songs than before.
"Around" in particular is very catchy.

Which was actually a song Billy Sheehan wrote, recorded and performed with his prior band, Talas.

The DLR version is so over the top!

Listened to the whole thing this morning. Guess I'm just not a sophisticated enough listener.
I just didn't hear songs i cared about, and the high harmonic whammy thing he's suddenly into seems like a cheap stunt from the 80s.
Apparently I'm in a mood.

Great album. A favorite band of mine for many years. I’ve been fortunate to see them live several times. One of my fave performances was seeing Ian play live at the Suhr Party at NAMM 2016.

I’d love to see more Big Wreck/Thornley Fractal related content.

I was checking out from their site to get the CD/Vinyl but shipping to US is $30 due to the Canada Post strike...it seems spotty finding the Big Wreck catalog on Amazon too. Guess it's more of a streaming situation.

Just now getting a chance to listen to The Rest of the Story and this is some big hair, big iron type stuff. Love it! Holy Roller is a HUGE 80s metal throwback. That pinch harmonic with the whammy bar stuff is bananas.

Second this, any insight? Ian’s amps have always been Suhr PT100 and Hedgehog live… are they going for the same tones or something completely different? Throw us a bone?
