While I have your attention....next round of LiveGold Updates for July for 28.07+ with the aforementioned new layouts (will be for all unit types,) are being prepared....stay tuned, will post here when available for download (not yet!).

Mainly just resetting the amps Cliff just re-mastered in latest few firmware since 28.04, plus improving (and fixing) the Optional FC Layouts for 2025.

Hey Buddy, I just downloaded the new version for June 2025.
I’m having trouble trying to use the OMG9 layout.
The FM3 doesn’t see it. Only the one with no FC connected is visible. Please advise

That's because these beta-tests files are ONLY for the FM9, not FM3???

Hey FM3 users -- I have a BETA version of my optional FC Footcontroller layouts for the FM3 available for testing.

It has three types of unit/config ALL_LAYOUTS.fclayout files - one for FM3 Alone, one for FM3+FC6 (OMG9), and one for FM3+FC-12 (OMG15).

Once these all pass beta, I will add them to next TonePack updates for all TonePacks. I'll keep you posted on that. Shouldn't be too much longer - this weekend? -- for a LiveGold update to 28.07/9.02/10.0 firmwares.

A zip file for Beta test #2 for FM3 Layouts is up here in the FC Controllers Thread, if anyone is interested. Make a back up of your System+Global Blocks + Fc file with FractalBot before you try this (see zip file README instructions). .

Once I get some feedback on the FM9, FM3, and Axe-Fx III proposed new optional layouts,I'll fold them and put up the LiveGold updates for most recent firmware next few days,.

Axe-FX III users: Okay, I just put up a "final beta" zip file of my revised FC-12 and FC-6 layouts for the Axe-Fx III in the FC Controllers thread here:

You are welcome to check it out. There is an installation guide. Do a backup before you start. Provide any feedback not here but on the FC Controller's sub forum thread or PM me. Thanks! Closing on on wrapping these 8 unti config layouts up and that means a LiveGold TonePack update (it's just updates to Cliff's re-mastered amps since 28.04, plus these new FC layout options) will come shortly after that...it will be before mid-July. I'll post here "when."

Here's a NEW zip file (attached below) of what should be final for all units FM3, FM9, and Axe-Fx III. These are footswitch LAYOUTS I made that are for all hardware units and FC configs (including just an FM3 or FM9).

In a few days I will add this in to the download zip files for existing TonePacks like LiveGold.

Like to get some users trying them first before I do that. These are final beta now, so share any thoughts you have to me about errors you find or suggested changes...Feedback is welcome.

They will be included in zip file of next TonePack updates/releases -- but also freely available to any forum users here. I also put them in the FC6/FC12 sub thread too.

Lot of work went into these...hope you enjoy! Main reasons for LiveGold or Naked Amps or + PlusPack lovers to use them:

1. You can access the CS2 to CS6 amp controls from foot switches with these (this includes the FM3 and FM9 alone)

2. You can scroll through effects ABCD channels using HOLD (except for FM3 stand alone version).

3. You can LEVEL your scenes directly from the foot-switches of your unit, or level your amp blocks, or even SAVE a CS amp control change you try and like - amp boost on, or saturation on -- into your current preset scene -- all without using the editor.

4. you can easily navigate layouts fast.

5. There is a Per-Preset layout for you to use with your own custom per-preset design presets.

One example in my TonePacks is the NEW! Plexi100W+Brown MidCap found in both LiveGold bank 1(at end) and in the 2025 +PlusPack in Bank 2 (new amps). Load it using thePer-Preset layout and you'll see an MXR flanger that is momentary like EVHs, phaser, etc. Great way for you to customize effects layouts by individual preset rather than rely on them globally.

6. Lots of use of +1SCENEADV -- to just use one switch to advance through scenes instead of hunting them down...very useful for live gigs - if you like to have your song parts/Tones set up as sequential scenes (when each tone change comes along, Intro, verse, chorus, lead, etc) just go to next scene on same switch every time +1, no need to hunt for Scene names and their individual switches.

Hi Pat, the FM3 fw 10pb works fine on firmware 10. What is not done in those is a few amps Cliff has remastered (new soft amp reset) since May - the list affected is in Fractal firmware release notes. I have done soft resets on them and am waiting for the next FM3 update and when I get back from vacation early August to do that minor LiveGold Update for all three hardware units plus include all the new July 2025 Layout configs and any final tweaking there in the net zip download. Plus a short video explaining how to do the soft amp resets for ya’ll in future. But 95%+ of the presets in current LiveGold from May for FM3 work fine and you can use until August update is out. hope that helps!
 
Hi Everyone, as of October 12, 2025, LiveGold is updated now (free for existing customers) for latest firmwares:

Axe-Fx III -- firmware 29+

FM9 - firmware 10+

FM3 - firmware 11+

You can login to your account area my website, go to DOWNLOADS, and download the latest OCT 2025 version.

Remember to click on the right side area to get the zip download itself....(not on the left side file name "LATEST" label, apparently that will take you to a product page instead).

Don't worry if you are happy with the prior 2025 LiveGold presets you have installed-- this is a MINOR update.

Mainly I did "soft amp reset" for certain amps that Cliff has re-mastered in recent firmware updates...

I also paid attention to the CPU use on my non-turbo FM3 and tried to give you some CPU headroom there to add another block, etc. You shouldn't get any CPU overloads in any existing scenes now.

The release notes explain some other mostly minor tweaks I made. I gave the FAS amp section some extra love this time and made those leads better for the Modern amps. I fixed some compressors and re-leveled a handful of things. Most everything else was still great from the May update.

Also - this zip download version bundles in my new OPTIONAL FC Controller files. I have re-done all of them in every combo (9 total) except for a Fractal FC12+FC6 together rig.

One cool thing you can learn from those layout files is how to turn on/off CS2 Amp Boost or my other CS3-CS6 switches and SAVE them being ON if you like that in a preset/scene just from the FC (not the editor), as well as amp or scene level adjustments. Some other cool tricks in. there as file. I'll try to get a video together to demo this soon.

Just letting you guys know my usual annual Holiday Sale will start some time this Wednesday November 26, and last a few weeks through year-end, like in past years.

May be a good time to pick up the +2025 PlusPack when it's on sale for $69....next year in 2026 the price will go up to $99 for it, once I start to add new content to it like new presets and killer effects collection presets....

Also - your LiveGold presets from the October 2025 update will work fine on the new Axe-Fx III firmware 31 and FM9 firmware 11, and I suspect a similar new firmware is coming soon for the FM3 (firmware 12?).

Cool! Make sure you BACK UP all your existing unit (for Fm3 or FM9) and FC-6/FC-12 layouts in editor (in FC mode, layout, EXPORT-ALL) ...or alternatively save a globalsystem.syx backup file in FractalBot before you try to load any layouts...

...so you can always revert backwards if things get hairy and screwy.

The documents in the OPTIONAL FC Controllers folder is pretty detailed and should help before you dive in.

You'll get some good ideas you can use in your own layouts by checking these out.

I should have a video out on 2 of 7 tips related to this sometime this week, with more FC controller videos to come.
