FM3 Firmware Version 10.0

did the remastered PVH amps make it into the final FW10, and this is just missing from the Release notes? Or did they not make the final version?
Nothing was removed from the release compared to the beta. It's possible that a line was accidentally deleted when putting the final release together. I'll check that and make sure it's correct in the history.

Update on my issues. Fractal has suggested I export my personal presets and send to them for investigation. Which I think it is a great idea. The factory presets work perfectly on my unit, it is my personal ones that have the issues. If any of you are willing to look at this also, I would be willing to email my presets to you and find out if they work. Plus if another machine can get them to work, then I could get them back from you and see if a workable version now works on mine.

Thanks @Admin M@

After you've exported the Presets you should be able to post a couple here in this forum ...
Here are a few presets I would like someone to look at with Firmware 10. If by chance you get them to load could you export them from firmware 10 and send them back for me to try. Thanks in advance.

MAJOR UPDATE:

Cheers to Michael at Fractal customer support. Looks like he found the issue. See below:

Hi Jason, we believe the issues you're experiencing may be related to the modifiers in use. I've attached your presets with the modifiers' update rates changed to "SLOW". Please try these and let us know if they work any better:

Michael

Fractal Audio Support

Been using it today and no issues to report with my daily presets. Look like it had everything to do with the scene controllers and the modifiers, which I had set to fast rather than slow. Go figure. It made the difference and now we are back to functional. Going to test it this weekend at rehearsal to make sure.

Once again thank you Michael and everyone on the forum that offered their help.

OK guys I think I am ready to try this. Just updated FM3 Edit to 1.07.09. I am on FW 8 currently with my old non headphone FM3.

Can someone give me the short version of how to get from FW8 to FW10 please? Reading the update guide i see this about the Dyna Cabs. Does that mean I don't have to install them separately?

Thanks.

Open Fractal Bot from Tools Menu of FM3 edit (I'm on Axe-Edit at the moment, should be the same or similar for you). It should tell you there is a new FW and ask if you want to install it. Otherwise, you can download the firmware from the 1st post in the thread and install from Fractal Bot in FM3 Edit or the standalone version of Fractal Bot.

Edit: There is also an update guide included in the firmware in the 1st post.

So here's what I am going with after reading the update guide and the release notes:
1. Update FM3 Edit to latest (1.07.09)
2. Backup
3. Install FW10 (Reboot FM3)
4. Install DynaCabs 1.06 (Reboot FM3)
5. RANF
6. Try it out!

Ok update was pretty painless but I was immediately greeted with the "CPU EXCEEDED" on a very simple preset. Changing the Cab IR length from Ultra to Standard got me back but I am at 84% where I was at 78ish before.

Switched from Medium Plate to Medium Hall and then back and now I am back to 74%. Yaay Fractal FW10! :D

Edit: Then switched over to North Church and happiness. The new reverbs are GREAT!! <3

I am having issues keeping the USB connection between the FM3 Edit and the unit. The only thing that solves it is rebooting the FM3. I don't remember having this issue before the update. I checked the cable, the drivers, the USB setting, even changed the COM port (Windows). Anybody else have this issue after the update? Otherwise it's great but I have had to reboot the device three times since updating. The device will keep working but the FM3 Edit loses communication and stops responding to it. A reboot of the unit fixes it. Thanks.
