FM3 Firmware Version 10.0

Thanks for the feedback 😀

May I ask then - what is the difference between saving all presets under the latest firmware, and soft resetting all presets (under the new firmware, if this is possible)?

Re-saving presets makes sure that all presets use the latest preset template revision. This contributes to gapless switching.

You don't soft-reset a preset, you soft-reset an amp. Soft-resetting the amp(s) in one or more presets defaults all the amp parameters (also hidden ones) except the ones that are available on the original amplifiers.

Since I updated to this firmware 10.00, I have a problem with the latest factory presets provided by Fractal, including presets I created, not having any sound. Strangely, the input is coming in well, but I checked the output by pressing the page button through the layout terminal on the main body of the fm3 outboard, and before that, the input signal was coming in well for each effector layout, but from this version, almost all effector layouts are only displayed in red, and the input signal is not output, and no sound is output to the final output. This problem has not been solved until now, but this firmware version 10.00 keeps resolving this problem. So I thought it might be a problem with my fm3, so when I downgraded to the previous version 9.03, it worked fine, so I hope this problem is solved quickly.

I am on 10.0 final now. I added the new Presets Matt had in his first post on these. Is there a more current file ?

I’m not sure what kind of magic you did to the SLO 88 lead, but omg…it sounding and feeling amazing. Never bonded with that amp before and now just with stock settings is incredible… the gift that keeps on giving

Thanks Fractal Audio team, beta testers and everyone involved in the development of this amazing piece of gear

That’s a great clarification IMO
The last paragraph between soft reset and re-save

The remaster was a bit of a dilemma because we have two X88s and they sound and measure quite different. Ultimately I found one had a quality in the low end that I liked better so I went with that.

I have modified the original presets and didn't want to lose those changes.
Backup those presets or save certain elements of those to snapshots or library or screen shots of specific settings then load the new presets and see if you like them or retweak from there with prior values

The advantage is a least you will start with a safer CPU use

Hmm interesting we’re both of them
From same time period
Or is one the more recent reissue from BAD?
Just curious I have heard people say new BAD stuff is a bit different

Man, those Splawn Nitro models sound absolutely amazing. Actually, everything does, but the Splawn stuff is ridiculous.

100%. The Nitro has always been my favorite in the Fractal stuff - so much so that I ordered one new and up until now it had a low end oomph that I felt was the only thing missing in the Fractal. I would crank Depth and still not get it. But after soft-resetting my go to preset I built, it’s there! I’ve been A/Bing the model with my real Nitro…and I might end up selling the amp now.
