FM9 Factory Presets version 9.x Release

Current favorite is the 2025 Petrucci Rig. All the blocks sound fabulous! It is super helpful to have some chorus/phaser blocks preset with very sane defaults for those of us that could use some training wheels. :) The amp and cab go so well together, and I really, really gel with the cabs in a way that I have with no others.

The previous version used to have a pitch block with some controllers on it to approximate the doubler that Petrucci uses. Is that the purpose of the Enhancer in this new version?

Reload the factory banks? Reboot? RANF?

Something is not right. Those should all be DynaCab presets now.
UPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS my bad, since I had to install a lot of things for this firmware when I installed the new Dyna Cabs I had a brain fart and I forgot the factory presets lol. All good now it seams :)

Crazy! Updated to 9.00. All my CPU usages dropped drastically, typically from around 70% to the 40s/50s. I have one or two at low 60s but those are the outliers. Amazing.

One niggle: how to change the preset number on the unit display from reverse video back to same style as name? I prefer it that way.

Save the preset under the (new) firmware.
Background information:
Now when loading a preset that was created using a previous firmware version the preset number will be shown in inverted text on the large font home GUI. This indicates that the preset needs to be saved under the current firmware to update it for compatibility with “Gapless Changes – ALL". Presets created and saved with the
currently running firmware also load faster in general

Hello, I'm new here. Switched from Helix to Fm9 recently, I like it, sound is a bit better, but UI is harder... Maybe need a bit more time to learn it...

I have a question about these new pressets with 9.0 firmaware. Are they all new? Or only some? Do I need to totally replace previous ones, or I can somehow try them out and pick out those that I want? If they replace the old ones - how can I keep some of those that I like from the old ones?

From what I understand all the factory presets have been either updated or completely redone.

I'd save the factory presets you like (use fractal bot to save them to a folder on your computer), load all the new presets, load your favorites in the user slots, A/B them and keep the ones that sound best to you.

You can load only a few at a time, and check them out that way. Or you can load a bank of them into a different area of memory that you’re not using. Also, FM9-Edit provides a method to audition presets without loading them.

Thank you! ... so how do I audition them through FM9 edit individually? When I downloaded them - I can only see the files for Bank A, B, C... So I'm assuming those are groups of files

To audition them, go in AXE-EDIT (or FM9/3-EDIT) to Tools - Manage Presets.
In the Presets tab choose the Browser dropdown and select Open bank.... (iirc)
Choose the bankfile which contains the presets to audition, and press OK.
Activate the Auto-Audition button and select a preset from the left pane, or open the contextmenu on a single preset and select Audition.

Does anyone have any tips on dealing with the Pitch block for the virtual capo? I love fractal but this feels unusable to me. The latency is out of control - no setting makes it feel 'good' under the fingers. For context, I am playing riff style music - lots of power chords, changes, etc.
