Country Tones Tour (and preset!) from Zac Brown Band's Clay Cook

Also rooting that we get the Telecaster preset. i know most of the sound is in the fingers but damn. That Tele sounded spanky :)

Hate to dig up an old post, but I have question. The base tone of the Strat patch is fairly crunchy yet in the video Clay’s Strat tone is clean on the edge of breakup. Am I missing something here? Thanks!

bout the same result everyone else said. Its overly crunchy and bassy even on strats. No real response.

Roll your volume back
I’m doing that, but have to roll down to 5 on my Strat’s volume to get into the territory Clay’s tone is in. Even on 5 it still has some hair. Sounds good, just seems more dirty than I expected. That must be what Clay’s doing. Thanks!

Also I nailed his Tele tone. Turn on the slap and comp and either turn down the amp volume or the amp’s input and boom you’re there.

Have you tried playing with the input trim on the amp block? That can reduce the amount of push into the amp while retaining the tone of your guitar at whatever volume setting you prefer.

Could you clarify this? Because amp input (input trim or drive?) and amp volume (master volume or amp block volume) are really different things. Confusing...

Rolling down the volume knob on my Dimarzio Super Distortion humbuckers works well for me. That being said, I'd love to try out the humbucker version.

I used scene one without any OD. I turned on the comp and slap back that’s before the amp block. I then turned down the amp gain/volume until it sounded right with my Tele. Sounds nice.

Won’t work for me, on fm9 edit. I go to drag file into my presets and it won’t load into fm9 edit.

Any help?
Thanks!!
What does "won't load" mean?

Did you try using Import Preset instead of drag and drop?

What firmware version are you running? What editor version?
