Yeah, before this release, every time I strummed a chord, I always said to myself Cliff should really look into PI grid clipping algorithm, did not sound right to mehonestly pretty incredible getting so many improvements in amp block accuracy lately
have you found the PI grid clipping changes to be audible?
Awesome ! Can I use the " Negative Feedback Control " on my E-bay account ? .....lol......https://www.fractalaudio.com/downloads/firmware-presets/axe-fx-3/28p0/axefxiii_dsp_rel_28p02.zip
An updated Axe-Edit to support this firmware is available here:

Axe-Fx III Firmware Release Notes
28.02
Added adjustable Q to Low Cut and High Cut in Reverb block. Note: The Q only affects the response if the Slope is set to 12 dB/oct.
Updated spring models in Reverb block. A soft reset is recommended if you use these types to load the new default values.
Added Vibrato-King Custom Spring type.
Changed name of “Spring Drive” to “Dwell” as this is what is commonly used on spring reverb units. Note that the Dwell control is automatically compensated. Therefore, changing the Dwell will not affect the mix unlike a hardware spring reverb, it will just make the sound more “splashy”.
Rearranged Spring Reverb menu so that most commonly used controls are on the same line.
Added Negative Feedback control to UI for Friedman BE/HBE models since this is now a control on the actual amp.

So, Cliff, what kind of sonic differences are expected with the PI grid clipping change? I assume it’ll mostly apply when pushing the amps really hard.“Improved Amp block phase inverter grid clipping model accuracy.”
Oooooooooooo
Funny….but…Years ago I built a plexi 1959 clone that sounded like EVH, so I thought I’d just copy the preamp and send it into my VHT rackmount power amp. That way I could make two preamps, one for clean and one for dirty. I copied the preamp exactly, but it didn’t sound right at all when I put it into the VHT input. I learnt that day how much PI distortion was part of the legendary Marshall tone, because I wasn’t driving the next stage/PI like I was in the 1959. Similar experience trying to get SRV tone from a Vibroverb clone. I believe it’s one of the most ignored or misunderstood pieces of knowledge in tube amp cloning, right behind the power supply.Yeah, before this release, every time I strummed a chord, I always said to myself Cliff should really look into PI grid clipping algorithm, did not sound right to me
Totally agree. In all the years I've owned AXE FX units, (6 units total), I never question any update, even if I'm going to have to tweak my personal presets. They are always an improvement.I never even question it. If there's an update available, it's getting done.
