This just keeps happening…I turn my head for few hours and “BAM” a new Beta drops. Looks super!!!

Once again, thanks to all the FAS team, the private beta testers and anyone else involved. I appreciate getting the updates ported down to the FM3 in such a timely manner.👍

Stay warm out there!🥶

This is not a bug - it is by design ...

It lets you know that the Preset has not yet been saved under the latest firmware. You'd need to save under the latest to make use of (some of) the new features, otherwise the Preset remains as it was saved under the last firmware.

Use your ears to tune to taste, and/or do a bulk save of all Presets to make this go away. Once some (or all) Presets are saved under the new firmware, the Preset number is no longer greyed out.

I always back up everything before and after a firmware update - this gives a roll back path if anything undesirable happens.

:)

I did update the presets with 9.02 Beta 2. I would not expect the need to update again as this is Beta still version 9.02 and no changes were made to the amp block in the FW going from 9.02 Beta 2 to 9.02 Beta 3.

76 drives now! What I enjoy most about playing now is being able to recreate basically everything that my ears think is a cool guitar sound. It’s great fun and I’ve learned so much about guitar just from owning a Fractal Audio unit! Kudos to the entire team!!

Trem Ducking is awesome! Just a bit, around 0.3-0.5.... feels like... trem blooms as notes are ringing... how I missed this without knowing!

It indicates the preset wasn't saved under the current firmware.

There's no relevance to the Amp block.

Fair enough, however, all my presets were previously saved with version 9.02. Certainly it is not the intent that all presets will need to be resaved with every update.

I also batch saved (which is only a workaround for me) in the prior betas. In my opinion a real save process without first defining one unused parameter should make more sense for this scenario.
But i don't understand why i have to do it now which each new firmware? I don't have to do the saving process with the actual AxeFX III firmwares, so why is this behaving different?

Improved Tube Drive 4-Knob model. If you are using this model in a preset a soft reset of the block is recommended to load the new default values.
•Added Tube Drive 5-Knob model.
Has anyone tried these? I use the 4-knob quite a bit with 9.01 and just wondering how drastic the changes were with the updated model. Cheers!
