Axe-Fx III Factory Presets for firmware 27.03

These are amazing! I feel bad for asking questions about them, but here it goes:

1. I've noticed a few presets that use Legacy cabs ported from the Axe-FX2. Are these IRs still as good as the most recent ones? I never even consider using them these days.
2. A few presets have Speaker Thump and Drive at 0, although the default is 1.25 & 1 respectively. Is that intentional?
3. Any chance of a change log on the presets? I'd love to see all the changes that were made. I'm not expecting that though.

Hey guys!

Hope somebody can help me out, as I don't know if and what I did wrong... I just updated Axe Edit (01.14.07) and the Firmware (27.03) and I can't edit my presets via Axe Edit anymore, it doesn't show the blocks contents (what amp/pedal/etc), but the settings of the preset are there.

In the Axe FX itself everything seems to be there and sounds fine.

For some reason I can't attach (probably because I just created the account, haven't had one before) screenshots, so I'll try to describe what I see: The colour for the knob parameters is blue now, if I click into the selection window for an amp for example, it just highlights the black background where it normally would show the selected amp in, but nothing else happens. Same applies for Input Select, Bypass Mode and co, all black, nothing happens beside the highlight of the black window after clicking on it.

If I go into the cab block, it simply says "Empy" in the IR sections, can't mute or solo IRs, if I click on the Picker, it opens the IR window as its supposed to, I can choose any of the IRs, but it still says Empty afterwards. If I turn the knobs, it seems to react, as the sound changes.

As mentioned earlier; I don't know what I did wrong and don't know how to fix it. Did someone have a similar issue or has an idea?

Try Refresh After New Firmware in the Editor.

Wow. Okay, literally found a fix by accident now. If anyone has the same problem and restarting and reinstalling didn't help, my roommate just tried to help and clicked the "Refresh after new firmware" button under "Settings" in Axe Edit and now everything works as its supposed to... I feel so dumb right now. :D
 
Is anyone having issues with the presets sounding fuzzy? I'm new to the forum and I've had my FX 3, Mark 2 since it came out. Of course, I'm an idiot and did not back up (well deserved head shakes on that one), from FM 21.

No. If you haven’t saved any presets, you might be able to roll back to fm 21. I’m sure someone will correct if I’m wrong. Maybe do a full system back now.

What do you mean by fuzzy?

No issues here.

Gonna get my 27.03 factory clip posted today while I clean up some guitars.
 
Thank you Fractal audio and all the contributors for these updated presets. They sound and feel incredible and each any of them are an outstanding representation of each amp model, they’re very usable now and sure give you a great tour of all the sounds these units are capable of doing. I can’t stress enough how great they sound I remember before I found them sounding a tad dark , boomy and muddy and even under gained for what was supposed to be high gain presets (I know the constant changes to the amp block had something to do with it) but now it’s the total opposite. Without having to build my own patches I just scroll until I find what I have in my head it’s awesome ! 🤘
 
WOW!!

I have been in camp Fractal since the Standard and I have never vibed well with the presets. I used to copy a handful of amp/cabs and some FX tricks and that's it. With these presets on the latest firmware, I am grabbing almost everything because it all sounds so fricking good!

It's kind of like the amp models all have more of the direct amp sound mixed with the cabinet model. There seems to be more of a break up sound on all my presets. I validated that the cabinet modeling is active. I did a FM 27.02 install and then reinstalled 27.03- it seems to be a bit better, but It could just be me.

Thanks- I did that and then loaded 27.02. Went back and redid 27.03- it seems better, but it could just be me imagining things :)
