I still have the original Axe-FX from 2009. Works fine except for the value knob it does not register when turning it 100% of the time. I turned it off and on almost every day for at about 10 years.I'd guess consistent heating up and cooling down of components (turning on & off) would cause a certain amount of wear & tear, no?
Having said that, I turn mine off when not in use.
That's easy to figure outI'm not sure this applies to the Axe FXIII.
If the answers here are "true", it applies:does that work on wife also ?I always switch off my Axe-Fx after use. I do exactly the same with my car.![]()
The boost types in the amp block have set EQ curves (from the wiki: "types are based on real pedals, each with its own EQ/color)")????
Oh, I thought he was just reiterating that to you.I understand that and his answer had nothing to do with the conversation I was having. He trolled me

The amp block boosts are the eq curves, only, from various drive blocks. No distortion, no compression, just those baked in eq curves.????
Great response with a logical conclusion. Have a great SundayWouldn't the challenge with making an amp boost type out of TCPre drive be that: unlike the current amp boost types which are all pretty much stable curves afaik, the TCPre is a widely variable curve boost depending on how the knobs are set - so which curve setting to can into an amp boost type would be a question with variable answers.
That's true of all drive types that have tone controls, which i think is all of them.Wouldn't the challenge with making an amp boost type out of TCPre drive be that: unlike the current amp boost types which are all pretty much stable curves afaik, the TCPre is a widely variable curve boost depending on how the knobs are set - so which curve setting to can into an amp boost type would be a question with variable answers.
maybe I am wrong, but i think the eq curve of drives like tube screamer, treble booster, mid boost, and others we have amp boost types for, are each of a certain shape flavour despite their tone controls' ability to adjust within that flavour (I can adjust the mid boost drive's tone controls but will still end up with some form of mid boost eq, no?). My understanding of TCPre however, is that what makes it a cool pedal is that it can be dialed in to quite widely varying EQ curves that don't really follow any common theme.That's true of all drive types that have tone controls, which i think is all of them.
I was told to see a doctor if it stays on longer than 4 hours.does that work on wife also ?![]()
@painkiller
You must unlink your blocks from global before you post a preset. Otherwise, no one will be able to see your settings.
Edit: The post above mine that I was referring to has been deleted, so this post looks a bit lost now![]()
