FM9 Firmware Version 8.01

Got ya! I did refresh after new firmware for sure, but the thing is, I noticed this tweaking on the unit before I ever plugged in to use the editor on my mac, so the issue was there before trying it there. I figured maybe the editor would fix that or it was a glitch, but same thing happened when I tried with the editor.
Another glitch is channel changing. Changing channels (in my case) with a drive causes the screen to flicker every time.
Ok then sounds like it may be firmware related.

I know it was changed to match the Axe Fx III recently.

I'll have to check my system to see...

I'd be curious to hear your findings! There are a few things I noticed that now happen on the FM9 that did not happen previously on firmware 8, nor on the Axe iii (firmware 27 beta in my case for the axe iii):

1) Screen flickers when changing channels (on my drives; maybe other blocks do it too, but noticed on drives; I think cabs too which brings me to point #2).

2) Dyna Cabs don't default to the same positions as the Axe iii when they previously did on FM9 firmware 8.

3) Used to be able to change the impedance curve for a static IR in the amp block, but then turn on auto dynacab match. This resulted in changing channels on the cab block, and if it uses a Dynacab, it will use the appropriate impedance curve in the amp block, but upon switching back to the cab channel with a static IR, goes back to the previous impedance curve selected in the amp block. This doesn't happen anymore with the FM9 firmware v8.01 as it does on the Axe iii, but once it changes to the Dynacab impedance curve, it stays there regardless of if you go back to a channel with legacy IRs or Dynacabs.

Hi :-)

when I performed the 8.01 update, my sounds changed, notably the playing feeling and the Reverb (very messy and not clean)

Have you encountered this kind of problem?

Do I have to do something to resolve this problem and get my previous sounds back?

thanks in advance
All the best

From which firmware did you update?

Then it's normal the sound changed... See release notes

Merci d'avance

Yes, reinstall firmware 7 ^^

I'm having an issue regarding the no connected pedal feature:

I don't have anything plugged in and the auto-engage is still happening for the Filter block on LP mode. I already tried resetting the block

It is also happening for the PEQ block with no pedal connected. In fact for this one the 'auto engage' is even set to off.

It may be because you have the modifier assigned to Bypass.

For auto engage you dont want to assign it to Bypass... The Bypass is competing with auto engage.

For the second one, you're not using auto engage and the fix specifically says it's for auto engage

thanks. let me try it without the bypass. When using 2 octave whammy stuff, I always historically used bypass to engage/disengage eq, pitch and filter simultaneously in one move of pedal1.

is it my imagination or is the new tuner much quicker/more responsive? I like the cyan - last night on stage it was nicer to look at and very legible! Not sure how it'll be on those sunny festival stages.
