FM3 Firmware Version 9.01

Is anyone else seeing the text on the mini-displays getting mis-aligned?
Yes had this happen on mine earlier today. Disappears after reboot. Had it happen intermittently in the past. I think one of the recent firmware updates had sorted it. Now for some reason it’s come back.

Re: Mission SP-1 Vol/Wah switching in FW 9.01 -
After I rolled the FM3 back to FW 9, the scribble strips under the onboard buttons were all blank. I re-installed FW 9.01, no change. I ended up restoring the factory layouts, which brought back the default labels. For some reason I don't understand, something during this also fixed the problem with the SP-1 switch, now it is controlling the Vol and Wah bypass just like it did in FW 9. I have no idea why, but it works now.

@Admin M@ , please ignore my prior post, it's apparently not broken.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me.

ish they would add in an option to change that colour back too.

This is easy to do on the FM3 itself - Just go to the settings in the Tuner section, and you'll see an option for colour - it is easy to change back, and you can explore other options (eg yellow, blue, etc.).

EDIT: Sorry - I'm not sure if you mean the mini tuner or the main tuner! 🤔

all cool, I appreciate the reply, but yeah sadly the mini-tuner is fixed to blue. same for the mini-text too, which makes it really hard to see on stages. it;s no biggie but it would be cool to keep the mini-tuner green and have that option. I struggled to see it tonight

Hello, always, I install new Firmware and Editor. I'm searching and trying to set up. My opinion is that, I trust Fractal, what they do. So far, I have not had a problem from the videos or the forum, to get the necessary information. Big + 👍 Thanks
Google translate.

I changed mine back to green and the mini tuner at the top remains cyan. Bug?
Had to apologise for the confusion I’ve caused over in the FM9 thread. Seems I’ve been a bit of a numpty. I changed back from legacy to cyan and thought the mini tuner changed 🤪

After installing this version (Firmware+FM3 Edit) I have a problem with the device disconnecting every few minutes.

Has anyone had any tuner lock issues after update? On my unit it seems that the tuner locks randomly (to unlock it I have to give a couple of strumming strokes)

I'd have to guess that it was the factory default layout restoration that fixed the scribble strips, and maybe it also fixed the expression pedal issue? Someone else in this thread indicated that installing FW 9.01 reset the expression pedal input definitions, changing from "Expression Pedal" to "Switch". Once that setting was fixed, their pedal worked properly again. If you haven't already, this might be worth checking. Good luck.

It's not in your head. Part of the key to good pitch shifting is good pitch detection. The pitch detection was where most of the improvement was made which, naturally, also benefits the Synth and any other algorithms that use pitch detection (Tuner).
the improvement of the pitch detection is huge. My synth sounds are a combination of pitch shifting and the synth block. It is amazing how precise and fast all is. It works even for me as a bass player. Many thanks for this improvement.

thanks for the update 🙏 just wondering , has the CPU reporting changed somewhat?

my main preset went from around 75.6% or so to 80.2% ..which is huge, no issues so far, but just curious if there's something i'm missing here

might be related to the cab/preamp quality setting, it seemed like on FW 9 there was less of a Cpu jump between ECO & High Quality (it was around 2-3% increase, and now it's around 6-7)
