I'm sure one reason Fractal hasn't is because it requires alot of support to figure out the issues involved when things go wrong establishing communication. With various iterations of Android models, and iOS to a lesser extent, there are bound to be a lot of troubleshooting issues that are user config errors and hardware error's, failures and problems, as opposed to software issues.
But none the less you end up troubleshooting it to those levels anyway when attempting to help somebody get things up and running.
If you've ever worked any kind of tech be support you know exactly what I mean.
The FracPad SW is well worth the $40ish bucks once you get it set up and see what you're able to do with it. The developer has stated you get lifetime upgrades as device firmware evolves and major device FW updates occur. Like the Fractal products themselves, might pay more upfront compared to some competitors, but the support is ongoing.
And in the case of FracPad, kudos and a big thank you to the developer and forum member, Algrenadine, for spending time helping walk me through the process and helping me troubleshoot until I found a workable solution. Top notch service, top notch app as well !!!
And the UI really is top notch!
I love that the actual amp and various effects pedals names are used. It's too bad Fractal can't do this. It adds something to the experience IMO.
The amount of control you have from a tablet (in my case) via this app is pretty great!
It's going to be nice to travel with the FM3 and be able to make adjustments from that perspective as opposed to kneeling down and going through pages on the mostly a bit too small device screen.
