How do I stop mirroring fc’s

Both fc12 and fc6 are on the effects layout and the fc6 mirrors the fc12 how do I stop the fc6 from mirroring the fc12.

all FCs share layouts regardless of mirroring. Layout 3 is the same exact thing for the FC6 and the FC12. there are only 9 total Layouts, all shared by any FCs.

you just need to have each one use a different Layout.

Mirroring specifically means when you change to a Layout on one, the other one also changes to that Layout at the same time, not that they share the same switch definitions.

Then they can't be mirroring each other.

Do you mean that they both start on the same layout? That's because you have them configured to do that. Look at STARTUP LAYOUT on the same screen.

So I can’t have 18 separate switches
 
I’m trying to have 18 different effects so I want them on the effects layout, kinda like having it in pedalboard mode on the fx8.

there is no forced "effects" layout. all layouts are whatever you want them to be. you'll need to abandon the defaults and just create what you want on 2 different layouts.
