I recently bought a Sun Valley Super Shredder Exotic which has a few issues that I'm not sure are flaws. The guitar is equipped with a Floyd Rose, and I find that the high E string goes flat pretty consistently. It's the one string I'm adjusting more than the others, and I've broken one high E already. I'm not doing much with the bar, and I did stretch the new E string with my 'string stretcha' when I replaced it. I definitely do a lot of bending on the higher strings, but it just seems that I'm having to adjust it up more than I do on my other regulars (none of which have a Floyd). I've had to unlock the clamp and use the tuner 3 or 4 times in two weeks. I'm not sure what the cause could be other than the string continuing to stretch.
The other issue is some spotting on the ebony fretboard. It almost looked like something was splashed on the fretboard, but I can't seem to clean it off:
Schecter tell me that this is currently normal for ebony due to a lack of supply to choose from. Anyone seen this on an ebony fretboard?
The guitar plays great and I'm really enjoying it, but I'm not sure if I should return it due to these couple of factors. Thanks.
