I don't know what all the fuss is about the DS-1. If you don't like it, don't use it.
That don't mean nothing to me. the DS-1 is still a poop pedal. I know I have sadly owned one.
I have a pre order in for a left-handed Claravox theremin....my rapidly expanding semi modular setup demands it....https://www.moogmusic.com/products/etherwave-plus-theremin has CV outs for both antennas; then there are many options for CV to MIDI.
https://www.moogmusic.com/products/etherwave-theremins/theremini has MIDI over USB, but it seems that you need to plug it into a computer.
https://www.moogmusic.com/products/claravox-centennial has both, but is fairly expensive.

“..,rapidly expanding...” blah, blah, blah. We all know the one true reason to get a theremin:

Sweet!I have a pre order in for a left-handed Claravox theremin....my rapidly expanding semi modular setup demands it....
I am strange, I am left handed at some things(writing) and right handed at others (guitar) ..I have used theremin in the past and determined I am moreSweet!
Why did you get the Left handed one?
I have a Etherwave Standard with a few upgrades... I essentially play it like Jimmy Pages does, but I have always figured that if I were to start taking it seriously, I would stand behind it so that the left hand handles pitch (fretting hand) and right hand handles attack (picking hand).
Yeah this thread is irrelevant at this point anyway..........unless of course it is Firmware faturday (er ...Saturday)In your case, I would venture that being able to play a bigger selection of (right-handed) guitars was the right move.
I'm paraphrasing here, but Marc Ribot says that he can't play fast because he writes with his left hand, but plays guitar right handed and therefore feels limited in his picking hand ability. Michael Angelo Batio on the other hand...
Maybe after all, on the theremin, the most dexterous hand should probably be playing pitch.
Agreed that turning it around isn't optimal, but once I have a sound I'm not really messing with the controls anymore. Glad that you have the Left handed option with the Claravox!
Maybe a more appropriate place to discuss theremins: https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/theremin-thread.168120/
Sure we'll keep it let for next FridayYeah this thread is irrelevant at this point anyway..........unless of course it is Firmware faturday (er ...Saturday)
Maybe we get Way Huge to create a new one:I never knew just how crappy my gear was until I got on the Internet. Thanks for letting me know the two DS-1s I have are poop pedals. Please tell me which distortion pedalsare not poop pedals.

Not sure if you're trying to be funny? He said "fuss", not "fuzz"...I’m pretty sure it’s a distortion pedal, not a fuzz. Shouldn’t be a lot of fuzz, unless you tweak the advanced parameters

Bad jokes are the bestYeah, just a bad joke. Sorry
I agree with you. I had a DS-1 and gave it away because it sounded like poop with a fresh battery. I would much rather have the Boss HT-2 , MXR Wyld distortion or just more amps like the Randall Satin. waist of time putting the DS-1 in it.
