I'm going to design a digital pedal with all the models in it, sell it for $199 and put all these crooks out of business.
You call it the “Boo Teak Drive” pedal (naturally you then put it in a teak wood case, with a hand woodburnt ghost graphics for ultimate boutique vibe and upcharging ability). The next part is crucial you then cover the board in black epoxy so no one can tell it’s digital (also everyone knows that gooped mystery circuits provide the most mojo). Lastly you write up some marketing hooey about how it’s “natural and transparent and amp like its it’s OD characteristics” and I guarantee you’d be the rockstar of the analog indie pedal world for a few months at least!
I’m convinced that just the Shimmer Drive type alone would make everyone love the pedal and rave about how it’s a must have on any board.
