Anyone Have a JVM410?

If so, do the orange and red modes have a LOT more gain than the green mode? I seem to recall they do but my amp isn't acting that way now. I'm thinking Relay 3 is not working.

Had one and yes, orange and red were a lot more Hi gain!

That's what I remember. My Orange mode now has less drive than the Green. That can't be right.

just checked the service manual - RL3b most possible, yepp! So the output of V6a can't go anywhere = less gain! ;-)

You should get an Axe FX like I did, it'd solve all the isses you're having.

funny this topic came up. I was actually making a preset last night with the jvm blocks. I had one of these head for about 8 months. from what I remember, my green channel could get clean or have a llight/med crunch. red would was super distorted and orange was in the middle. from what I did last night, I would compare green axefx blocks to orange channel of the actual amp.

My ax2 has replaced my jvm100c which is on ebay uk. Red and orange have lots more gain than green.

Traced it to a bad solder joint on one of the tube sockets. Unfortunately when I hit it with a hamma it sent a spike through the Axe-Fx that was connected to it and popped one of the its outputs (dangling participle).
