And do not forget to pay the carbon-emission taxes for driving from your house to the Restring CenterHow much are you paying in old string disposal fees?
Last guy charged me a couple hundred to send them to the toxic waste dump.
That is a lost skill. Nowadays I just buy a new guitar. Has worked dozens of times as an explanation to my wife. You are not a complete man until you restring a broken string

I get where you're coming from, but this thread would have never turned out this way if not for the OP's posting history.I mean, I dunno.. Maybe OP was bothered, maybe they weren't. But being nice doesn't cost anything. These forums are generally helpful, if I can help keep them that way with little effort, I think it's worth it.
top 10... depends who you ask..!What do all the top 10 guitarists of all time have in common? They were all alcoholics , drugs addicts, and sex addicts.

For the record, I like the guy and hopes he keeps posting, but I can't help but laugh at the outrageous things he says.
Ooh that looks like an under the nail deal. They can be nasty. Maybe you found the good reason to have someone else do string changes. I have had more than my share of high E’s and B’s bury deep into my a finger.
I manage to stick the end of the string into my finger and draw blood, every time!
and?You guys are acting like the schoolyard bully who would pick on the weaker kids in an attempt to look cool. Just saying…
When I restring, I start with the third (G) string, just to get it over with. That one is the biggest, stiffest piece of solid steel in the whole set. If a string is going to cut you, it’s that damned G string.I manage to stick the end of the string into my finger and draw blood, every time!
