Introducing the new AM4 Amp Modeler

This would be a killer device for me…if it had the pitch block for a capo/pitch shift. I’m sure it’s a DAP issue, but having to buy another pedal for that purpose kind of stinks.

I don't believe any Fractal products use a pure analog path from input to output. I could be way off .. but this is part of the accuracy and control of the entire signal path.

Until DSP latency gets closer to the speed of light. This is the best way to not induce phase/time shifts and comb filtered artifacts.

Right. In other words, Analog dry-through. I am not certain about that either, but I also don't believe so.

And don't think we didn't notice the timing of the video.

The FX8 does.

I was wondering about that. It's such an excellent multi-effect pedal.
And yet another reason, in addition to the relays, why I'm still hanging on to my FX8. It's well suited for the 4CM.

I had my Deliverance 120 modded at the factory by Fryette to have relay switching for the Less/More function on the Gain II Overdrive (now included in the Deliverance 120 II). The FX8 is the only Fractal product that allows me to use that function.

I got mine yesterday. I think they really nailed the sweet spot on the UI and usability with this. I actually would love to see the simplified editor for the bigger units. It's so much easier to get a great sound and only jump to "expert mode" here and there. The amp/cab combo block is nice too. Sounds are excellent as expected. 4 blocks is a little limiting but I rarely use a lot of effects live and when recording I mostly add wet effects in plugins these days to be able to edit in the mix. Highly recommend picking one up.

Turning a Reverb block with Hall, Medium into a pitchy delay just by using the PITCH SHIFT feature. Just get creative and you can do quite a bit inside AM4 when needed! Be perfect if someone needs 2 delays on AM4 with some quirky pitch shifting!

Got the unit in today. Sounds great.

Question.
It appears as though if I am in Scene mode, there is no way for me to have the screen show me a list of scenes and remain there. It shows me the 4 blocks. It will momentarily show me a list of scenes after I change scenes, but then goes right back to showing me just the 4 blocks (and the current preset and scene)

Likewise in Preset mode it is the same. I see the four blocks, the current preset name and scene name. If I hit the footswitch to change presets, I will briefly see the list as it changes, but then immediately goes back to just showing the 4 blocks.

Is there a way to have it simply display the scene names rather then show me the 4 blocks all the time?
Likewise with presets.

I'm a big user of scenes on the FM9 and its nice being able to look down and see the list.

Channel screen is the only one that stays open under effect mode. Scene and Preset mode doesn't.

Maybe a wish idea?

Yeah, going to add that one to the feature request.

It is a nice to have type feature but does make navigation live during a gig a bit easier for at least the way I would use it. I am a heavy scene user with the FM9.

I gotta say, this little thing sounds great. Absolutely love the footprint.
