Yet another timeout issue

Hi guys,

I have the Axe fx II and MFC which are both MK1. I got my MFC around January from a fellow forum member second hand and I've been using a CAT5e cable that doesn't have the locking "pins" on it. I haven't been gigging so the lack of locking pins hasn't been a problem for me. I tried a few other Cat5 cables before and had some issues so I stuck with the one that works.

Last week I went to a electronics shop to pick up a quality CAT5e cable and only to find out that one doesn't work either. It seems to me that plugging and unplugging can make a difference. Sometimes it works but usually I get the "AXE FX NAME TIMEOUT". Even when I get the thing working it might start acting up all of sudden (cable movement etc.)

It seems to me the problem is in the mfc socket on the Axe FX. I've also made sure the cables are not cross wired but identical when comparing the ends side by side. Is there anything I can do to fix this? :numbness:
