Yamaha CBR12

the "BR" series is usually a lower cost item compared to their other lines of speakers. usually the low end is less tight, high end not as clear, but typically good choices for the lower price range. i've heard these and compared to the similar DXR/DXS lines, they are similar.

but this CBR series is passive, meaning there is no power amp built-in. it's basically a standard 2-way speaker with a woofer and tweeter.
 
I'm just looking for a budget friendly fr solution. I know there are a lot of topics on this, but i never heard of the dynacord, or yamaha cbr before.
 
Sorry for the derail, but this was amusing.

Funny to see "Yamaha" and "CBR" used together. Yamaha and Honda are huge competitors with each other in the motorcycle industy. "CBR" happens to be a Honda motorcycle model line. Yamaha audio division used a product name from its Honda competitor in the motorcycle division, lol :D This would be akin to a "Marshall Telecaster" amp.
