XLR levels too low and Left XLR low output

Hey Guys,

I've got an FM3, my first device into the world of Fractal Audio and loving it

But since a couple of months, my XLR output levels dropped significantly and now has ended up with my left XLR output having even lower output compared to my right XLR.

Has anyone come across this and if so what is the solution?

What is Output 1 Level set to in global I/O menu?

Where is the front panel knob set?

Are you presets leveled at or near the 0 mark on the Output 1 block VU meter?

As for the levels being different between Left and Right that can often just be a bad or cable.

Try swapping the L/R cables and see if the problem follows.

Is this with all presets or only some? Factory presets or custom?

What are the XLRs connected to?

I've tried dial out all the possibilities

1. Panel knobs are at full
2. Presets are levelled just before clipping
3. I tried out cables and different connections and did the test tone preset from fractal, but the left XLR is still low
4. Tried with no luck
5. All presets, even with an empty signal chain with input and output
6. Tried with 3 different consoles, preams and interfaces

Fractal audio told me it could be a failed component on the signal chain. Any experiences or ideas?

Ok... All of that would have been good to share in the original post ;)

Have you tried resetting system settings?

Have you opened it to check for loose ribbon cables?

With the front panel knob all the way up and properly leveled presets the thing should be LOUD.

Fractal support are the experts on this stuff...

I tried the system reset
Haven't opened the thing up yet

Yeah it was loud in the past but this was so sudden

Let's hope for the best!
