XLR Input for a Microphone - No input clock

Hey - I'm sure this used to work.

I have a Rode NT2000 running into a preamp via XLR, and then into the XLR at the back of my Axe FX.

When I change the input to AES/SPDIF, it just says no Input Clock.

The preamp shows signal just fine and has Phantom Power.

Have poked around for solutions but nothing jumping out.

Am I doing something wrong?

The Input I have is just Analog (In 1)

Then input 1 options are just Front or Rear? So I wouldn't be able to use the XLR cables with the Analog Input?

If this is the case, I'd be best to put it into my Focusright Scarlett 2i2, and then use the SPDIF/AES mode?

oh okay - so the XLR is Digital Input only. Got it - thanks.

Does it make any sense to go into the analog preamp (ART Studio V3) then a Scarlett 2i2?

Sorry I missed that this was in the Axe II forum. The Axe II does not have XLR analog inputs. You'll need to either use an adapter to 1/4", or use an interface that has SPDIF or AES digital outputs.
