Wow. Great playing! On an acoustic no less!

It's the Piezo. I hate the sound of it. One dimensional. Most live acoustic guitar music has that same snappy, thin sound. A bad simulation of what an acoustic can sound like (i.e. Michael Hedges Aerial Boundaries, etc.).

I think the crazy amount of compression is thinning it out as well. It's like the threshold is -10 with a 8:1 ratio!!! Or something, jeez!

Wowie...

Brilliant stuff. I would love to hear what that sounds like with an electric guitar.

Why would an artist use a piezo pickup rather than mic an acoustic? I'm not asking to be a jerk, I really would like to know. Feedback control?

Re - piezo/compression: Oh. I wondered, and couldn't see the strings well enough, so I guessed.

Harmonics...also mics tend to get nasty feedback at the volumes and intensity that Monte uses.

Why not use a Fishman, or something similar?............
