It's probably better that they lost - now they can just focus on trying to get the number one seed, and getting to the Super Bowl w/out being dogged by all the "undefeated" questions. They haven't really been that good from week to week. Winning, yes. A very good team and championship contender, yes. But their underlying stats haven't really supported their being undefeated... It was likely that somebody was going to beat them.

Also better for them that they lost to an NFC team; it keeps them ahead of KC (who lost to my Raiders ;-) in the tiebreakers for the moment.
